Sadly, anti-Zionist rhetoric does not only come from the pro-Palestinian mob, it also comes from those within the Christian community whose anti-Zionist tendencies have led them to upend established interpretive principles where it concerns the Bible. In other words, they have fundamentally adopted a hermeneutic which I can only bewilderingly describe as “the Isaiah 5:20 hermeneutic.”

In our day and age, our worse enemies like online antisemite Nick Fuentes compare the Jews to cookies going into ovens. Others say the Shoah (the catastrophe) never happened or was just exaggerated as propaganda for the Jews to start the State of Israel. Even within our friends and within the evangelical church, there are people who think that six million was too high a number. I lost my grandfather, murdered in Auschwitz. If you ask me...One was too high a number!
I don’t believe that President Trump was fooled by the stays of execution. I think the current halt is due to a conversation between the president and Prime Minister Netanyahu. The subject was regime change, which is a very real possibility if America and Israel get involved. They recognize that the ayatollahs will do whatever it takes to ensure that they stay in power.
Iran's state television broadcast was hacked amid a near-total internet blackout, with video clips of exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi and images of ongoing anti-government protests briefly airing on multiple channels. Pahlavi used the opportunity to call on the Iranian military to break with the Islamic Republic and to side with protesters who have been demonstrating against the regime.
Most are under the impression that the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict is primarily over land and sovereignty, with disputes over control of the Judea and Samaria, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem. It would seem that this is all about possession of land. Yet the Muslim nations surrounding Israel already possess over 250 times as much land as the Jews have in the tiny nation of Israel. So, there is clearly more to this issue than meets the eye.
There is a red line that President Trump has drawn for the Iranian regime: killing your own people will result in strong action by the United States. Despite the President's warnings, bodies continue to pile up as the state seeks to crush dissent and silence its protesters. The massacre of protesters is reaching horrific proportions. So will America strike?
We are seeing headlines of courageous men and women standing up at great personal cost to the Iranian regime. We should all be praying for the people of Iran—especially for the many Iranian Christians among them. Pray for freedom, protection, and the gospel to continue spreading. Iran is not simply a political talking point, but what many, including myself, believe is a land of biblical significance. Iran (ancient Persia) is considered a major player in end times prophecy.
Decapitation or capitulation? Does Trump lop off the Islamist head of the regime or continue to exert maximum pressure to force behavioral change? Any viable strategy must take into account the nature of the ayatollah’s regime. Pride, ideology, and survival define it. An outcome perceived as outright defeat would be intolerable. Any loss must therefore be framed – however implausibly – as victory, or the regime will be unable to accept it or survive internally. Scripture reminds us that pride goes before destruction, yet pride also blinds leaders to reality.
In attempting to deal with hate offences, the new laws would apply broadly to speech, symbols, gestures, and online content which incites hatred towards a person or group of people because of their race, colour, or national or ethnic origin. The trouble is, Mr Albanese may be acting quickly, but many are concerned that he is not acting properly, particularly when it comes to ensuring the laws are appropriately designed and do not unfairly reduce freedom of speech.
It took no time at all! Within hours of being sworn in (on the Qur'an) as New York City's new mayor, Zohran Mamdani revoked nine executive orders put in place since 2024 by his predecessor Eric Adams. This includes order 51, established to combat antisemitism. Mr. Mamdani is claiming that he made that move because New Yorkers had lost confidence in Mayor Adams after he was indicted, and that it has nothing to do with antisemitism. I am far from convinced! Mr. Mamdani is the poster boy for the Red/Green Axis, and he is already showing his true colors.
Interestingly, the Jerusalem Post reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "currently the most popular person in Iran." One Tehran resident said that "people have fallen in love with him." Iranians were "impressed" by Israeli strikes on Iran in June as part of "Operation Rising Lion," as the air force focused only on regime infrastructure and did not harm civilians.
To fully understand the deeper meaning of what is happening in Iran right now, we must understand the historical context and the emergence of the Red-Green Alliance. Historically, the colour red symbolised socialist and communist ideologies, while green represented Islamist movements. Though seemingly at the diametrically opposite ends of the political and theological spectra, one inherently atheistic and the other theocratic, these two currents have repeatedly formed alliances of convenience. Their shared opposition to Western liberal democracy, Israel and the United States has provided sufficient unity for cooperation.
As Christians, we should always examine world events with a Bible in hand. Through the lens of Scripture, we understand two critical insights that are unique to those with a Biblical worldview: Where we should stand on an issue and what God's prophetic Word states will happen in the future. Through these insights, let's examine the chaotic developments in Iran.
Not everyone shared in this victory. Some were very critical of Trump, and others were deluded enough in their minds to blame Israel. Yes, that's right, they blamed Israel, and once again, Candace Owens was leading the charge. "Within minutes, Candace Owens reframed Venezuela's liberation into an Israel-centric conspiracy, declaring that 'Zionists cheer every regime change because they steal land, oil, and other resources.'"
Well, that didn’t take long. After what seemed like a millisecond of national unity against antisemitism in the wake of the Bondi massacre, people want to take to the streets again in order to “Free Palestine.” Although their usual talking points of genocide and mass starvation still remain at the core of their protests, the pro-Palestine mob seems to have become incensed at the decision by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to invite Israeli President Isaac Herzog to visit Australia.
The Israeli security agency Shin Bet recently foiled an attempt by Iran to smuggle large amounts of advanced weapons to Palestinian terrorists in Judea and Samaria (also known as the West Bank) to be used in attacks against targets in Israel. The smuggling operation demonstrates that Iran, after losing its proxies in Lebanon and Syria, is intensifying its efforts to open a new eastern terror front against Israel inside Judea and Samaria by exploiting Israel’s long and porous border with Jordan.
In Romans 11, Paul is proclaiming that even though Israel rejected Jesus, that doesn’t mean God’s plan of redemption was thwarted. Instead, it was spread to the nations and the once-severed relationship between God and His creation was reconciled in Jesus. That’s real good news. However, the news gets even better, Paul looks ahead prophetically to that day when Jesus will return
Looking forward to 2026, one wonders if the focus will remain on Israel. Truly, there is no reason why it will not, and, in fact, everything seems to indicate that Israel will be even more of a focal point in the coming year. The real question is: Will it be a focal point or a thorn in the flesh? This all depends on your worldview.
Whether talking about hate-filled nations of the Middle East that surround Israel, the metropolitan areas of Europe and Asia, or even in the United States of America, like in the case of Australia, governments are ignoring the anti-Semitism that’s growing at an astonishing rate. The terrorists perpetrating these deadly assaults are almost, it seems, being given governmental permission to do their dastardly evil. There is, to those of us who observe from the biblical perspective, the undeniable fact that Jews are being shown the door to exit these hostile cities and countries.
The Australian Jewish News reported that Mr Albanese had also been at a Canberra rally in 2000, referring to him as a “pro-Palestinian Labor MP.” Sadly, as it is now, so it was then. Synagogues were vandalised in both Sydney and Canberra (the locations of the two rallies), and Jewish families were advised to avoid public displays of faith.
Where did Australia go wrong? In part, 25 years ago. Anthony Albanese failed Australia’s Jewish community in 2000, and he failed them again in 2025. By God’s mercy, may this be the last of his failures.
Over the years, Republicans and Democrats have shown both support for Israel and distaste for it. Pro-Jewish history runs side by side with virulent anti-Semitism. Yet despite these problems, Jewish people always have called America the Goldina Medina, Yiddish for the “Golden Land,” because they have been allowed to flourish here. So what is America’s future?
They either say that God’s promise to Abraham was conditional or that it was only spiritual or that it was all part of a grand scheme to do a “God’s chosen” quick swap with the advent of the church age. This doctrine continues to spread rapidly through the body of Christ, and it is not new. There have been many in the history of the church who have been doing all they can to erase the ongoing importance of Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told reporters at a press conference on Monday that the Jewish State is closely monitoring military exercises being conducted by the Iranian regime, underscoring large-scale repercussions for “any action against Israel” taken by Tehran. “We are following this and doing all the necessary preparations,” Netanyahu stressed. “I want to convey this clearly to Iran: Any action against Israel will be met with a very severe response.”
While the global spotlight on Australia is forcing the government to take long-overdue action to better protect the Jewish Community, the problem may be much more difficult to confront than leaders realize. Dean Dwyer underscored that his country and other Western nations remain "blind to the true source of antisemitism," and as a result, also blind to the cure.
By now, I am sure you are all aware of the terrorist act perpetrated against Sydney’s Jewish community on the first night of Hanukkah in the iconic Sydney suburb of Bondi Beach. The warnings issued by Australia’s Jewish community since October 7 had largely been ignored by our ruling class. Now, we see the heartbreaking result of ignoring those warnings. Jewish men, women and children are dead, Jewish shops intend to close permanently for security reasons, and an entire community is in mourning.
Satan will always have a special hatred for the Jews that is greater than his hatred for all other people, and that hatred will continue to express itself all the way into the Tribulation period as we see in the Book of Revelation. And anywhere you see anti-Semitism in the world, whether you see it in a nation, whether you see it in a city, whether you see it in a religion, whether you see it in an individual heart, or whether we see it in our own hearts, you are witnessing something that is demonic.
Sadly, this is the consequence of a government and a culture that has let antisemitism run amok. Violent anti-Jewish protests are not rare in Australia, and law enforcement does little to stop it. Jew-haters are emboldened to strike out, even to the point of protesting at a memorial for the victims of the Bondi Beach attack. Antisemitism has been normalized in Australia, and I don’t believe the government has the will or the backbone to counter it. That is why I am calling on all Jews who live in Australia to come to your ancestral home in Israel. You will be welcomed with open arms, and you will finally feel safe once again.
A chilling video circulating online shows a young woman being pinned against the floor of an airport as Spanish police place her in handcuffs, manhandling her in the process. The video has drawn condemnation not only because of what it shows, but also because of what led to the incident: the removal of 44 French Jewish teenagers the woman was supervising from a European flight, allegedly for the crime of speaking Hebrew.
Indeed, we are well beyond the 1930s and 40s! The archenemy of the Jews is also the archenemy of God, who loves the Jewish people. Satan knows the details of how God is about to reveal Himself to Israel in the final chapter of His saga on the human race. This has prophetic implications that do not end well for Satan (Zechariah 12:10, Romans 11:26). It is written and irreversible. In an almost "human" flawed behavior, Satan is telling the Jews, "If I go down, you're going down with me!" Satan is hate personified, and he injects his hatred into people to use them in fulfilling his agenda. So, we have the Sydney massacre, October 7, and the Holocaust, and the sad reality of the days we live in is that there will be more.
Before taking his own life on April 30, 1945, Adolf Hitler appointed Admiral Karl Dönitz, commander of Germany’s U-boat fleet, as his successor. Hitler knew that World War II was lost and betrayal among his leadership surrounded him. He turned to Dönitz, a man he regarded as disciplined, loyal, and untainted by the corruption of the Nazi inner circle, to defend what remained of the collapsing Reich. Instead, when Hitler died, Dönitz accepted reality: The Nazis were beaten.
The Liberty’s revival reflects Owens and Carlson’s desperation to turn the American people against Israel, because Israel accidentally attacked this U.S. warship. Sadly, Americans who follow Owens did not hear the truth about what happened. Instead, they heard Phil Tourney, an embittered Liberty survivor, blend his experience of the attack with half-truths, outright lies, and antisemitic conspiracy theory.
The deeper we look at this man, the more apparent it becomes that while he says the right words, his actions betray him. He is playing the Muslim long game, similar to the “soft takeover” that Islam has carried out in Europe. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and I hope that President Donald Trump and other world leaders have enough insight to see him for who he really is. Al-Sharaa’s soft takeover is indicative of Islam’s global strategy. The clearest sign of this is in Europe where Muslim violence is blending with the vicious nature of the radical left to steal the peace of the continent.
No one should be shocked that Hamas is refusing to disarm. And yet, many in the West are surprised, obliviously believing that the terrorist group would honor Trump's peace plan. These leaders have failed to see these terrorists for who they really are: a demonic death cult.
