The Art Of No Deal: Iran, Trump, And The Price Of Negotiating With Terrorists

One of the first things Joe Biden did after taking office was surrender Afghanistan to the Taliban. The video of an American C17 cargo plane going up with Afghans clinging to the wheel wells is going viral again this week. A suicide bomber hit immediately after that plane took off, killing 13 American servicemen and women. That really happened during the Biden administration.

The image of Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal wasn’t just a foreign policy failure; it was an advertisement. It signaled to the world that America had lost its nerve. How did the world’s enemies respond? Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine just 6 months later. Iran-backed Hamas invaded Israel, slaughtering 1,200 Israelis.

You can draw a straight line from the tarmac in Kabul to every catastrophe that followed. Weakness doesn’t just invite aggression. Weakness welcomes it.

A Threat To The Entire World

Today, the left is telling us what? “That Iran didn’t pose a threat! The intelligence is wrong! Israel forced America into this action with Iran!”

Well, there’s one problem—a thing called video, audio, and the internet:

“Iran’s nuclear program is galloping forward. It is enriching at higher levels.” — former Secretary of State Antony Blinken

“Iran has rapidly accelerated its nuclear program and reduced cooperation with international inspectors. Their breakout period is down from about a year, which is what we knew it was during the deal, to just a few weeks or less.” — former White House press secretary Jen Psaki

“Iran, the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, has directly or by hiring criminals, mounted assassination attempts against dissidents and high-ranking current and former US officials, including right here on American soil.” — former FBI director Christopher Wray

“The president will not tolerate attacks on American troops, and neither will I. Our teammates were killed by radical militias backed by Iran.” — former Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin

“Yes, it is true. Iran is closer to a nuclear weapon than ever before. If they chose to get a nuclear weapon, they could probably get one within weeks.” — Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT)

Yet no real action was taken.

Despite Barack Obama’s cash bribe in the dead of night and Joe Biden’s capitulation, Iran was continuing to enrich uranium. They weren’t allowing inspectors to inspect. They were on the verge, according to experts from the IAEA—and the Biden administration’s own officials—of nuclear breakout. That is a threat to the entire world.

America is done with the “autopen presidency.” We survived four years of “Weekend at Bernie’s” in the White House, while Iran grew stronger and the entire world seemed to be falling apart. The American people had had it with presidents who lead from behind—that is why they elected a fighter. President Trump’s slogan is “Make America Great Again.” Now, it’s time to “Make America Gutsy Again.”

Deal Or No Deal

If Barack Obama and Joe Biden taught us anything, it’s that the art of the deal isn’t about making any deal. It’s about knowing when no deal—especially with Iran—is the best deal.

Iran’s navy was destroyed in three days of Operation Epic Fury, its air force is gone, its missile stockpiles depleted, and its previous Supreme Leader is eliminated. The current Supreme Leader is essentially a cardboard cutout.

President Trump says Iran is eager to negotiate: “We are roaming free over Tehran. And I can tell you they’d like to make a deal. And who wouldn’t if you were there?”

Yet, it doesn’t sound like the Iranian regime truly wants a deal. What Iran is talking about sounds more like a list of demands. According to the Wall Street Journal, Iran wants the closure of all American bases in the Gulf, reparations, to collect tolls via a shipping tax in the Straight of Hormuz, to keep their entire missile program, lift all sanctions, Israel to stop hitting their proxies, and a fistful of cash on their way out the door!

Does that sound like a negotiation? It sounds more like a hostage taker who just got hit by the SWAT team and is demanding a helicopter. The Iranian regime has shown that they are not to be trusted.

If the Trump administration leaves a wounded beast alive in Tehran, whatever’s left of that regime will rebuild its terror infrastructure and nuclear program. It’s only a matter of time.

President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu, finish the job! Don’t leave a shred of this regime that ordered the mass killing of 40,000 of their own people who were demonstrating in the streets for freedom.

Ecclesiastes says that there’s a time for all things. There’s a time for peace and a time for war. The Biden error was believing that you could have one without the credible threat of the other—and we saw what that produced. We saw what it did in Kabul. We saw what it did in Kyiv. We saw it in the Kibbutzim in southern Israel.

Iran has been a clear and present danger for 47 years. We can’t neutralize evil by signing an agreement. They don’t care. It’s not worth the paper that it’s signed on or the ink that’s used. We neutralize evil by making sure that the evildoers know—without a shadow of a doubt—that the cost of aggression is total and immediate.

There’s no worth in making a deal that Iran will never honor.

Enforcing Ideological Conformity: Brazil’s Imprisonment Of Parents And A Global UN Campaign To Eliminate Parent-led Education

The stakes for home educators just got much higher. In a ruling that exposes the ideological intolerance now driving education policy in much of the world, a Brazilian court just sentenced a loving mother and father to 50 days in prison for home education. Their crime? Homeschooling and declining to teach the far-left Brazilian regime’s curriculum on “gender and sex education” along with “tolerance and diversity.” Yes, really. But critics are speaking out as the horror makes headlines around the world and especially across the United States.

In-Depth: Safeguarding Freedom—A Biblical Model For Defending Our Civic And Religious Rights

Since religious freedom has been a hot-button social issue and is more and more frequently covered in secular and Christian news media outlets, we sometimes are asked these questions. Does the Bible address religious freedom, and, if so, what does it say and where? The Apostle Paul (and his traveling companions on various mission trips) is perhaps the most notable example of a biblical figure who suffered religious persecution and also on occasion stood up for his religious liberty. It is interesting that Paul did so in a government that had some similarities to Western nations.

Jan Markell: You Can’t Have A Genuine Revival With False Doctrine Raging

I hear a dozen evangelists stating that we are on the verge of a great revival. One self-proclaimed prophet says that a billion souls will come to faith in the coming weeks and months. If my Rapture is imminent, how can there be an imminent revival? Which is it? The Bible does talk about a coming revival. The question concerns its timing. Is it in the coming days, or is it after the Rapture when the “left behind” world realizes they should have listened to believers like you and me, get a second chance, and multitudes come to faith?
