On Thursday, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney stood alongside Turkish President Recep Erdogan to announce an economic and defense partnership between the two nations, calling the agreement “a new era for Turkey and Canada.” After the nation of Iran, Turkey is the most prominent enemy of Israel on the planet. Yet as many insist that Turkey’s terror funding, expansionist goals, and violent anti-Israel rhetoric should disqualify it from NATO membership, Canada is embracing the beast with open arms, offering a defense and economic partnership.
