As part of President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, which was signed on July 4, Medicaid funding previously funneled into Planned Parenthood and its affiliates was put on hold for one year. This measure, aimed at redirecting taxpayer dollars away from organizations that carry out elective abortions, was hailed by pro-life advocates as a step in the right direction in safeguarding unborn lives. Unsurprisingly, abortion activists were not keen on the legislation.

Report Warns Critical Race Theory Could Be Worming Its Way Back into Classrooms

Banned in several red states, CRT is often described by those holding more progressive worldviews as an academic framework meant to examine “systemic racism.” Critics, however, would classify it as an ideological agenda that promotes racism — hence why many Republican-led states have taken steps to keep it out of their school curricula. Yet, a new report from the conservative Foundation for Freedom Online (FF) warns that CRT is quietly sneaking its way back in through the “media literacy” campaign.

The Problem With Oh-So-Trendy Socialism

The poll found that Americans’ positive view of capitalism has declined to just 54% while the positive view of socialism has increased to 39%. In fact, 66% of Democrats now favor socialism, a 16% jump since 2010. Another survey found that young people — the eternal arbiters of “cool” — favor socialism more than the average American. A Cato/YouGov poll found that among those aged 30 and under, 62% favor socialism and 34% favor communism. Socialism is undoubtedly in style.
