Spinning Lies And Antisemitsm: Why Tucker Carlson Is Toxic To American Conservatism

When antisemites like Nick Fuentes compare Jewish Holocaust victims to cookies baked inside an oven or praise Adolf Hitler, there is no confusion possible; he hates the Jews and wants them all dead. At the very least, we know where he stands. When Candace Owens calls all Jews Talmudic Jews who are demon-possessed pedophiles, she also shows her true colors, and there is absolutely no confusion as to how much she hates the Jews.

I cannot say that I respect these antisemites, but I can say that they have integrity, because at the core of the definition of integrity is being consistent with the actions following the very words you have expressed. So, based on the boundaries of that very specific definition… I suppose Hitler had integrity, so do Fuentes and Owens. To be sure, this is not meant to be a compliment!

Tucker Carlson, on the other hand, doesn’t have a shred of integrity. He is confusing, his stories vacillate between truth and lies, and much of his narrative has no factual foundation at all. This whole mix makes him extremely dangerous. They are mostly lies, but he almost always mixes them with truths taken out of context, exaggerated, or anachronously placed in each narrative.

Israeli civil rights attorney and chairman of the Judeo-Christian Zionist Congress, Calev Myers, said it best:ย โ€œCarlson took half-truths or things that actually exist but blew them out of proportion, and then ignored other very important salient facts.โ€ย

Let’s take a look at some of Carlson’s most outrageous statements that he made over the past few years.

The Israelis have been happy to murder tens of thousands of children in Gazaย because they believe in blood guilt… They say it out loud. Amalek. We believe in blood guilt. The children are responsible for the sins of their parents, so we are gonna kill them.”

Tucker speaks of the Amalekites, who were indeed Israel’s enemies in biblical days. God clearly commanded the Children of Israel to defend themselves against the Amalekites and to destroy them. However, this was a historical event, not a normative principle. The Amalekites no longer exist today (Exodus 17:14-16).

Why is it that Tucker Carlson never mentions the babies born inside the Gaza Strip since the war started, which exceeds 50,000? What kind of genocidal group would allow that “counter-productive” birth rate to occur?

In his 2024ย interview with Munther Isaac, he allowed a clearly anti-Israel Lutheran pastor to give a one-sided picture of the Middle East. Isaac mentioned that there were between 800 and 1,200 “Palestinian Christians” in Gaza, and anything that happens to them is a concern to all Palestinians. Not a word about Hamas’s murderous attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Tucker quickly moved on to the next question. Mr. Isaac mixed some truth with a lot of lies and misconceptions, and was never challenged once by Tucker. Mr. Isaac is also the organizer of the antisemitic “Christ at the Checkpoint Conference” in Bethlehem.

Mr. Isaac supports a very anti-Israel document known as “Kairos Palestine,” which states in one of its articles:ย “We also declare that the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land is a sin against God and humanity because it deprives the Palestinians of their basic human rights, bestowed by God. It distorts the image of God in the Israeli who has become an occupier just as it distorts this image in the Palestinian living under occupation. We declare that any theology, seemingly based on the Bible or on faith or on history, that legitimizes the occupation, is far from Christian teachings, because it calls for violence and holy war in the name of God Almighty, subordinating God to temporary human interests, and distorting the divine image in the human beings living under both political and theological injustice” (Kairos Palestine 2.5).

Additionally, Tucker recently conducted anย interview with “Palestinian Christians” in Jordan, just across the border with Israel. He spoke with two men, Archbishop Hosam Naoum, the Anglican Archbishop of Jerusalem, andย Saad Mouasher, a Christian Jordanian banker and chairman of Jordan Ahli Bank. Why he chose to discuss and bash Israel in Jordan is very telling. He repeatedly spoke of Christian life in Israelย “under US-funded Israeli rule.”

Andrew Lapin (JTA) adds in theย Detroit Jewish News:

โ€œItโ€™s a story of Christians being oppressed in Jerusalem by a government that American Christians pay for,โ€ Carlson says. His report is heavily sympathetic to Jordan, where he claims Christians live more freely than in Israel.

Let’s be clear about what Tucker is doing. He has been promoting the Palestinian narrative for a few years, throwing Israel under the bus any chance he had, through many one-sided interviews. Now, he has decided to add Christians as victims of Israeli hegemony and occupation, in an effort to turn more people against the Jewish State. How despicable for Mr. Carlson to be spreading so many lies masquerading as truth! Worse still is how pathetic it is that so many people drink the Carlson Kool-Aid without ever checking what is in it.

Carlson’s latest move was an interview with the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, on February 18, 2023. Tucker flew to Tel Aviv on a private jet and chose to meet Mr. Huckabee at Ben Gourion Airport. Not at the Embassy, not in the Old City, not in Judea/Samaria…but the airport! The man who has so much to criticize about the tiny Jewish State and “US-funded” Israeli policies could not find the time or desire to visit the area and gather facts about real life in Israel. Was that too much to ask, or is Tucker really that uninterested in truth? His little “airport shindig” was very telling.

For reasons that baffle me, Tucker Carlson is still seen as a conservative by so many in America, and this is creating a serious rift within the MAGA movement. In reality, most of his recent moves and interviews seem to indicate that he is much more of a liberal than people would like to believe. Why are the American people still so infatuated with Tucker Carlson? Why are they so willing to adopt his loathing of Israel? Tucker Carlson has become very toxic, and the vestige of conservatism that still exists in his worldview should no longer suffice for people of goodwill to support him.

Now is the time to “deTUCKERize” the MAGA movement!

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back โ€œnot for your sake but for my holy nameโ€™s sake,โ€ because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
