Calculated Lies Against The Jewish State: Tucker Carlson’s Venomous Inquisition

Breanna Claussen

When US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee sat down with Tucker Carlson, whom he has known for 30 years, he expected a lively interview; what he got was a venomous inquisition.

The interview with Huckabee took place at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, a location chosen after Carlson refused to venture into the streets of Israel. It was an obvious slight, but only the first of many during his hours-long visit.

Seeking to stir up publicity and draw more unwarranted outrage against the nation of Israel, Carlson claimed to have been forcibly detained and mistreated by Israeli authorities while at the airport. This allegation was proven false by Israel, the Airport Authority, and the US Embassy, all of whom rejected the claims that he experienced anything beyond standard procedure. Carlson’s bizarre accusation of mistreatment was further diminished when footage emerged of him laughing, smiling, and taking pictures with an officer during the supposed detainment.

This blatant and deliberate falsehood against Israel was a perfect precursor to the release of an interview that would follow the same disgraceful trickery.

Carlson’s disrespectful treatment of the US Ambassador, coupled with his unending list of baseless accusations, was truly appalling.

Israel was accused of genocide, shielding pedophiles, abusing Christians, and pulling the strings of power in Washington, DC. The Jewish people, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, were accused of not being Jewish at all. Huckabee was accused of favoring Israel over the United States, covering up Israel’s “bad actions,” and—ironically—twisting Scripture to justify Zionism.

Even God did not escape the condemnation of this supposed “Christian,” with Carlson accusing the Lord of genocide, also.

The Ambassador stated afterwards that it was more of an “interrogation” and “playing gotcha” than an interview. Huckabee would begin to dispute the unfounded conspiracies—correcting the record with Scripture, international law, history, statistics, and his first-hand experience in diplomatic work—only to be cut off almost immediately.

The Ambassador’s ability to respond was so hampered during the interview that he deemed it necessary to publish his answers in full afterward on social media, along with the overwhelming proof to back up his statements.

It was noted by the Ambassador that the same ill-treatment was not extended to Carlson’s other interviewees, with guests who brazenly gushed over Adolf Hitler speaking at length without any pushback.

To state the obvious, Carlson wasn’t interested in Huckabee’s answers or uncovering the truth. His stunt against Israeli airport authorities proves his lies are calculated, not done out of ignorance. Carlson came to Israel with one agenda: to deceive.

Daniel Cohen, News Director of the Real Life Networkresponded to the Carlson-Huckabee interview by highlighting Tucker’s deliberate attempts to foment hatred against Israel and the Jewish people.

“Tucker is a snake,” Cohen stated plainly. “His deceptive trap is leading people away from the truth, just like the serpent in the Garden of Eden.”

“Tucker has been exposed, not by his enemies, but by his own mouth. By his own choices. By the company he keeps and the lies he tells about a country he spent a few hours at an airport NOT visiting,” he continued. “And Huckabee? He called him out. To his face. Corrected the record. Defended Israel. Defended the truth. Defended his faith.”

Cohen then explained why even one of the most formidable defenders of Christian Zionism, equipped with logic and reason, was unable to crack through Carlson’s hardened vitriol.

“Proverbs 27:17 says, ‘As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.'” Cohen noted. “You can sharpen iron. You can’t sharpen a snake.”

In-Depth: Safeguarding Freedom—A Biblical Model For Defending Our Civic And Religious Rights

Since religious freedom has been a hot-button social issue and is more and more frequently covered in secular and Christian news media outlets, we sometimes are asked these questions. Does the Bible address religious freedom, and, if so, what does it say and where? The Apostle Paul (and his traveling companions on various mission trips) is perhaps the most notable example of a biblical figure who suffered religious persecution and also on occasion stood up for his religious liberty. It is interesting that Paul did so in a government that had some similarities to Western nations.

There Is No Middle Ground With Christ—If You Aren’t For Jesus, You’re Against Him

As an evangelist, I take sharing the Word of God and the hope of Jesus Christ very seriously. The way I look at it, eternity is at stake every time I stand up at the podium. When eternity is on the line—the difference between Heaven and Hell—I don’t pull punches. People need to know that both are real, literal places, and surrendering one’s life to Jesus is the difference. There is no middle ground with Christ. If you aren’t for Jesus, you’re against Him.

Jan Markell: You Can’t Have A Genuine Revival With False Doctrine Raging

I hear a dozen evangelists stating that we are on the verge of a great revival. One self-proclaimed prophet says that a billion souls will come to faith in the coming weeks and months. If my Rapture is imminent, how can there be an imminent revival? Which is it? The Bible does talk about a coming revival. The question concerns its timing. Is it in the coming days, or is it after the Rapture when the “left behind” world realizes they should have listened to believers like you and me, get a second chance, and multitudes come to faith?
