Naftali Bennett Sworn In As Israel’s Prime Minister, Ends Netanyahu’s Reign

Benjamin Netanyahu’s record-breaking term as prime minister ended on Sunday night, when the Knesset voted to approve the new government formed by Yamina leader Naftali Bennett and Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid.

The new government passed with the support of 60 MKs, while 59 opposed it. Ra’am (United Arab List) MK Sa’eed Alharomi and five Joint List MKs absented themselves from the vote.

Earlier, Bennett defiantly presented his new government’s ministers and guidelines in an address at the Knesset plenum on Monday, while MKs who will be in the opposition heckled him constantly.

At the moment when Bennett started his speech introducing his government, Religious Zionist Party head Bezalel Smotrich and other MKs shouted “Shame” and waved posters of victims of terror. They were removed from the plenum.

“I am proud that I can sit in a government with people with very different views,” Bennett told his hecklers in the Knesset plenum, saying that they seemed to have a problem with losing power.

Bennett called on all sides of the political spectrum to display restraint. He complained that in recent years, Israel had stopped being managed as a country.

“The loud tone of the screams is the same as the failure to govern during your term in office,” Bennett snapped back at the Likud members.

Amir Tsarfati, responded to this breaking news via Telegram, stating that this development brings both bad news and good news:

“I have good news and bad news; let’s start with the bad news… The bad news is that although I wish that Trump would be President again and Netanyahu would get back to Prime ministership, the liberal progressives will do whatever it takes to prevent that,” the Behold Israel founder and President explained.

“They needed to get into power, and now they will do whatever can be done to block the option of these two guys to get back to leadership,” he continued. “In Netanyahu’s case, they are going to legislate specific laws to prevent him from personally running. And in Trump’s case, they will continue to work on corrupting the election system, so there will be no way for the Republican majority to win in several states.”

“The reason I was so afraid that Trump would lose and I wanted him to stay in power,” he reiterated, “is because I knew that the minute the Democrats take power, that’s the end, that’s when they will not allow anyone to take that position of power. And that is what they have been doing since they got back into the white house. The same goes for here; after quite a few years of conservative right-wing Netanyahu government, the left is back, and the left is willing to trample on every part of democracy and yet continue to say that they do it in the name of democracy.”

“Now, let’s move to the good news. The good news is that we are going to be out of here even sooner than we think,” Tsarfati reminded his audience. “The good news is that as this world will continue to grow crazier and crazier, our redemption is drawing nearer and nearer. This is the time to hold tight to our heavenly passport because soon, we will have to stamp it.”

Much like when former President Trump left office, it is also important to be reminded as Netanyahu exits his Prime Ministership, that God remains on the throne.

There are very specific events laid out in Scripture that will take place in the soon future.

The stage is being set for a man (the antichrist) to come onto the scene, after the rapture of the church, who will make a seven year covenant with many, chiefly the nation of Israel (Daniel 9:27).

With each political development, our world is aligning itself perfectly as God said it would. As it is often quoted, “things are not falling apart, they are falling into place.” As Amir explained, while we see these events unfolding, take heart, our redemption draws increasingly near:

Luke 21:28 KJV – “when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

In-Depth: How Will You Respond To The Book of Revelation’s Warning?

In chapter 6, the narrative takes a dramatic turn. As one after another seal is broken, the action in Heaven unleashes a great calamity on Earth. No longer the meek and mild suffering Servant of Isaiah 53, Christ is now the Worthy One who breaks the seals that send forth riders and catastrophes to inflict great suffering on the Earth. This reality alone does not align with the false prophets of prosperity who proclaim that Jesus would never hurt a fly. The image here is of Jesus exercising the will of the Father to pour out judgment on an unrepentant world devoid of Church Age saints who have been swept up at the Rapture.

Abandoning The Duty Of A Shepherd: Should Pastors Speak About Politics From The Pulpit?

When a pastor preaches about what God has to say in His Word about gender, intimacy and marriage, sanctity of life, parental authority, stewardship of resources whether personal or societal, defending one’s family, threats of false doctrines and religions, etc., they are not being “political” but Biblical. Speaking on such topics does not imply that a pastor has an agenda; it simply means they are faithfully fulfilling their duty to proclaim the truth on such matters which God has laid out in His Word.
