‘Vicious Libel’: AOC Blasted After Implying Israel Keeps Palestinian Children In Cages

Speaking at an Austin Democratic Socialists of America event held in Texas on Sunday, hard-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) implied, as caught on video, that Israel kept Palestinian children in cages, saying, “I don’t believe that a child should be in a cage on our border and I don’t believe a child should be in a cage in the West Bank.”

Ocasio-Cortez was blasted for her false claims involving the Jewish state. The American Jewish Committee responded by tweeting, “@AOC, you know as well as we do that there are no Palestinian children ‘in cages’ in the West Bank. This kind of gross misinformation hurts chances for reasonable discussion and furthers harmful biases. You must apologize for these baseless allegations.”

The Simon Wiesenthal Center echoed, “@RepAOC demonizing Jews at a time of raging #Antisemitism in NYC. Throwing children into cages is inhuman and cruel. Prove it or apologize. You are legitimizing hatred against Jewish people everywhere.”

Israel War Room tweeted, “This should go without saying, but Israel does not have children in cages in the West Bank, @AOC. This vicious libel mirrors the libels that have plagued Jewish civilization for centuries.”

United With Israel fired, “Dear @AOC, I also don’t believe that children should be in cages. Please reply with one example of a Palestinian child being held in a cage by the State of Israel. Ever. Looking forward to hearing from you.”

Executive Editor of the Washington Examiner Magazine Seth Mandel blasted, “‘Ocasio-Cortez’s office did not respond when asked on Monday to provide examples of children being imprisoned in cages in the West Bank.’ Not sure there’s a politician alive today pushing a wider range of blood libels.”

Last Christmas Eve, a staffer for Ocasio-Cortez called Israel “a racist European ethnostate built on stolen land from its indigenous population.” Hussain Altamimi, who began his tenure as a legislative assistant to Ocasio-Cortez in the fall, posted an Instagram story in which he wrote, “Israel is a racist European ethnostate built on stolen land from its indigenous population!” Fox News Digital took a screenshot of the post.

In September, Ocasio-Cortez appeared to cry after the House passed a bill to fund Israel’s Iron Dome, which protects the Jewish state from rocket attacks from the terrorist groups Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north.

Ocasio-Cortez did not support funding Iron Dome, which intercepted approximately 90% of the rockets fired out of Gaza in May 2021.

In July 2019 Ocasio-Cortez said that Palestinians “have no choice but to riot” against Israel in an interview on “Ebro in the Morning” with host Ebro Darden. The Daily Wire reported:

Ocasio-Cortez “absolutely” agreed with Darden that Israel was “very, very criminal” and “very, very unjust,” as Darden claimed there are “white supremacist Jews.”

Later in the interview, Ocasio-Cortez justified violence from the Palestinian people against Israel, saying: “I believe that injustice is a threat to the safety of all people, because once you have a group that is marginalized and marginalized and marginalized — once someone doesn’t have access to clean water, they have no choice but to riot, right?”

In July 2018, in an interview on PBS’s “Firing Line” with host Margaret Hoover, Ocasio-Cortez called Israel the “occupiers” of “Palestine.”

One critic fired back at her, “Dear @Ocasio2018, Keep my country’s name out of your mouth. Your ignorance re Israel and the Palestinian conflict is not bliss. All you’re doing is inciting against Israelis (Jews), while stuttering to make sense. Stay in your lane, and educate yourself, child.”

HD Editor’s Note: Why Is This News Biblically Relevant?

Hal Lindsey, in an article discussing the terrorist organization Hamas, stated that although many anti-Israel politicians in the United States “almost always say they are standing with Palestinians, not Hamas,” making such a statement, he insisted, is “like coming out against the United States in World War II, claiming you only support Germans, not Nazis.”

A poll released in September revealed that the vast majority of Palestinians are supporters of the terrorist organization Hamas.

The stated goal of Hamas, Lindsey explained, is the “eradication” of Israel and Jews. The Palestinian terror org widely espouses anti-Semitic lies about Jewish people and Israel, which previously were prominently promoted by Nazi Germany and Russia in the early 1900s.

“The Hamas charter depicts Jews using old stereotypes,” Lindsey described. “Article 22 blames the Jews for World Wars I and II, as well as the French and communist revolutions. This illustrates yet again that their hatred is not for Israel alone, but for Jews generally. Article 7 says, ‘The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: ‘O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.’”

The irrationality with which many have despised the Jews is often puzzling to those who may be unfamiliar with God’s Word. Why has antisemitism flourished throughout history? Why are unsubstantiated and wicked accusations about Israel and the Jewish people often quickly accepted?

One of the numerous examples is the Black Plague in the 1300s. Many at that time pointed the finger at the Jewish population, claiming that they had spiked wells causing the illness. Similar to what took place in Nazi Germany, Jews were then evicted from countries, forced into ghettos, and massacred by a population that was swift to eat up anti-semitic propaganda.

This madness can only be understood through the lens of Scripture.

Through the Jewish people, God brought the law, giving His creation an understanding of sin, and subsequently, through the Jewish people, God provided humanity a Savior from that sin, Jesus Christ (Romans 9:4-57:710:43:1-2Matt. 5:17).

The Jewish people and the nation of Israel are interwoven within God’s plan for all mankind, beginning to end. They are, by God’s mercy, the chosen people used to bring about His perfect will and salvation (Luke 2:25-32). It is for this reason that a battle, which is spiritual in nature, is constantly being waged against Israel and the Jews (Eph. 6:12). Satan detests the people through whom God provided His Son, Jesus Christ, who will ultimately defeat him and his followers (Revelation 20:10).

Although the world may look at Israel and automatically see red, to the Believer in Jesus Christ, the reborn State of Israel should arouse awe of God and hope.

Thousands of years ago, God promised that Israel would again become a nation under miraculous circumstances (Ezekiel 3637Isaiah 66:7-8). This is especially important because Jesus told His disciples that when Israel is reborn, one generation would not pass away before His Second coming (Matthew 24:32-34).

Therefore the nation of Israel has been used to bless believers yet again, with the joyful expectation of our Blessed Hope, the soon catching away of the Bride Of Christ to forever be with the Lord in the Rapture of the church (1 Thess. 4:15-18Titus 2:131 Corin. 15:51-53).

If you do not know Christ, seeing the nation of Israel should promote urgency in you to accept Jesus today. Satan hates Israel, and he hates you also. But God displayed His power to us, through the rebirth of Israel and by countless other means, that we may come to know Him and the saving knowledge of His Son, Jesus Christ (John 14:29).

A Time To Act: Is Now The Moment For Netanyahu To Declare A New ‘Independence Day’ For Israel

President Trump says that Prime Minister Netanyahu will accept whatever deal his administration makes. Maybe, maybe not. Netanyahu could see the approaching November midterm elections in America and even Israeli elections in October, and declare that this is the moment for a new Israeli Independence Day. Netanyahu knows that there is a growing number of congressmembers who want to reduce Israel's dependence on the United States. Both the Prime Minister and Israel as a whole agree. In 1948, independence meant Israel would become a country—a new Independence Day means Israel gets to hit, and hit back hard, against any threat that thinks Israel shouldn't be one.

Protections That Exclude Evangelical Christians: City Refuses To Prosecute Protesters For Storming A Church Service

St. Paul City Attorney Irene Kao said that her office would not charge former CNN journalist Don Lemon and the protestors involved in a planned disruption at Cities Church. On Jan. 18, dozens of protestors interrupted a Sunday morning church service, stopping the pastor from opening the service with prayer while shouting anti-ICE agent chants, and screaming in church members’ faces. The protestors claimed that one of the pastors was an ICE agent.

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back “not for your sake but for my holy name’s sake,” because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
