The problem with cultural Christianity, he added, is that people place too much emphasis on offending people. The Gospel, in and of itself, is offensive, but that doesn’t mean we need to water it down.
Christ was so intolerant of man’s lost estate that He left His lofty throne in Heaven and took on Himself the form of man, suffered at the hands of evil men, and died a shameful death on a cruel cross to purchase our redemption.
In spite of pressures to conform to the world, may we be people who will hold God’s standard high. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Let us conform to His standard and reflect His image without compromise.

A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. A prayerless Christian is also a contradiction, because we should yearn for fellowship with the One who redeemed us.

Our Lord has given us an example of how to overcome the devil’s temptations. When He was tempted in the wilderness, He defeated Satan every time by the use of the Bible.
“The damage here is unbelievable,” Franklin Graham said. “Every building is leaning. Every building is cracked. It’s going to take years for this place to recover.”
