Is Iran Ready For A Post-Islamic Republic Transition?

After decades in exile, Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi is widely seen within the diaspora as the most credible opposition figure to lead Iran. Should the Islamic Republic completely collapse, Pahlavi is positioning himself as the voice for a democratic secular transition.

In a recent interview, Pahlavi reaffirmed that he is prepared to guide a transitional government, emphasizing that he does not seek a restored absolute monarchy.

“Many Iranians often, despite facing bullets, have called on me to lead this transition,” he stated. “I’m in awe of their courage, and I have answered their call.”

“Our path forward will be transparent,” Pahlavi underscored. “A new constitution drafted and ratified by referendum, followed by free elections under international oversight. When Iranians vote, the transitional government dissolves.”

Here’s my take.

This is the question on everyone’s mind: How will the Iranian people respond the day after the Islamic Republic falls? Palavi seems the likely candidate, but it’s up to the people.

It’s important to remember that more than 80% of Iranians dislike the Islamic Republic. Only 20% supported the Ayatollahs. Maybe the Iranian people are ready for the freedom they have always hoped for.

Denying The Jewish Peopleโ€™s Connection To Jerusalem Would Be Laughable… If So Many Nations Didn’t Believe It

In December 2017, U.S. President Donald Trump decided to implement the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995. He recognized Jerusalem as the official capital of the State of Israel, which calls for Jerusalem to remain an undivided city, and ordered the federal government to relocate the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalemโ€”a move timed to help celebrate Israelโ€™s 70th birthday. The UN General Assembly then countered with the โ€œStatus of Jerusalemโ€ resolutionโ€”which passed 128 to 9, with 35 abstentionsโ€”denying the Jewish peopleโ€™s connection to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
