Female suspects in the United Kingdom may now be subject to strip searches by biological males who identify as “transgender,” according to new police guidelines quietly released in December.
The new guidelines also stipulate that a women’s objection to the strip-search by a biological male could be considered a hate crime by police.
The changes appeared to fly under the radar until a now-retired police superintendent, Cathy Larkman, sought to clarify regulations hoping to settle fears brought by women about the gender of officers conducting strip searches.
When Larkman heard back from the National Police Chief’s Council, she was astonished to learn about the new guidance, which stated that “Chief Officers are advised to recognise the status of Transgender colleagues from the moment they transition, considered to be, the point at which they present in the gender with which they identify. Thus, once a Transgender colleague has transitioned, they will search persons of the same gender as their own lived gender.”
The statement further added that, although a person may refuse to be searched by a transgender person, “if the refusal is based on discriminatory views, consideration should be given for the incident [to] be recorded as a non-crime hate incident unless the circumstances amount to a recordable crime.”
Larkman, who was on the police force for over 30 years, was shocked by the guidance, which she called “a devastating blow to women’s trust in the police,” according to the Daily Mail.
“Women are not even an afterthought in this guidance — they are completely non-existent. Everything is geared towards the sensitivities of the officer doing the searching,” she asserted. “They claim they are trying to be inclusive. But this isn’t inclusive of women and it doesn’t respect their sex.”
“It tells you everything you need to know about what chief officers are thinking at the moment and where their priorities lie. Sadly, it’s not with women,” Larkman lamented. “The NPCC like to talk about reducing violence among women and girls but this just makes you think they are hollow words. There is no concern for women here whatsoever.”
Many LGBT appeasing policies have come at great expense to women’s safety. For example, in multiple Countries and States, changes of law have allowed transgender identifying male inmates to transfer into women’s prisons, leaving female prisoners in constant fear of rape and other assaults.
The obvious dangers to women that result from these progressive policies and laws, prompted Ken Ham, the Founder and CEO of Answers In Genesis, to refer to “transgender ideology” as a “war on women.”
“The LGBTQ+ agenda really isn’t about caring for women or people in general. It is more about advancing an ideology, regardless of the consequences on bystanders and even those within the movement,” he wrote.
“Ultimately, it’s a movement rooted in rebellion against God and his natural order (Genesis 1:27 and 2:24),” Ham underscored. “We must stand against the lunacy and denial of biological reality of transgenderism and advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves.”
