In this urgent MidEast & Beyond update, Amir Tsarfati and Pastor Barry Stagner explain what is really happening in the war with Iran. Broadcasting from near his bomb shelter...
Today, a third round of indirect talks between Iran and the United States in Geneva have already temporarily halted. Both sides say they want negotiations to work. I wouldn’t put money on it. Abbas Araghchi, foreign minister of Iran, said they will not give up their “peaceful” nuclear purposes. He went on to threaten the targeting of US bases in the region, “even if they are on the territory of Arab countries.” On the American side, President Trump, in his State of the Union address, said he will never allow the world’s number one sponsor of terror to have a nuclear weapon. As US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said, Iran is a threat to the US, not just to Israel.

Over the past week, the US has transported an enormous amount of firepower to the Middle East. The Air Force has sent AWACS, mid-air refueling tankers, B-52 Stratofortress bombers, and more than 50 fighter jets from all up and down the classification list. Naval assets include two carrier groups, between 7-9 Arleigh-Burke class destroyers, a whole list of support ships, and, if the rumor is accurate, the USS Georgia, a nuclear submarine armed with 154 Tomahawk missiles.
In this episode of MidEast & Beyond, Amir Tsarfati & Pastor Barry Stagner connect these developments with World Events in Bible Prophecy, including Ezekiel...

Everyone here in the Middle East continues in our hold pattern as the United States and Iran decide what they’re going to do about each other. Other countries, such as Turkey, Qatar, and Russia, are throwing in their two shekels of advice and warnings. Here in Israel, we saw our Prime Minister take his sixth trip to Washington, seventh to the US, where he held a three-hour meeting with the American President. Meanwhile, back home, our military continued its preparations for a brief and violent visit to Iran. In other words, it’s kind of business as usual. There’s one more area where we can see business as usual. This world continues to rapidly move toward the great war promised in Ezekiel 38-39.
While many see a temporary calm, are current geopolitical maneuvers, mounting threats, and unfolding alliances signaling the calm before the Ezekiel war storm?

President Donald Trump has said that help is on the way for the protesters. This has led to both bluster and action from the United States, Israel, and Iran. US Senator Lindsey Graham assured the Iranian citizens, “Trump is a man of his word. He has your back.” Iran responded, “If our country is cornered, it will respond in a way it never has before.” Knowing that the ayatollah’s threats were directed at Israel as well as America, Prime Minister Netanyahu promised, “Any attempt by Iran to harm us will be met with a decisive response. It will be a big mistake, a very big mistake, one mistake too many.”

In this powerful and eye-opening conversation, Amir Tsarfati sits down with Rawan Osman, one of the most courageous voices speaking out against antisemitism today....
I don’t believe that President Trump was fooled by the stays of execution. I think the current halt is due to a conversation between the president and Prime Minister Netanyahu. The subject was regime change, which is a very real possibility if America and Israel get involved. They recognize that the ayatollahs will do whatever it takes to ensure that they stay in power.

Decapitation or capitulation? Does Trump lop off the Islamist head of the regime or continue to exert maximum pressure to force behavioral change? Any viable strategy must take into account the nature of the ayatollah’s regime. Pride, ideology, and survival define it. An outcome perceived as outright defeat would be intolerable. Any loss must therefore be framed – however implausibly – as victory, or the regime will be unable to accept it or survive internally. Scripture reminds us that pride goes before destruction, yet pride also blinds leaders to reality.
They either say that God’s promise to Abraham was conditional or that it was only spiritual or that it was all part of a grand scheme to do a “God’s chosen” quick swap with the advent of the church age. This doctrine continues to spread rapidly through the body of Christ, and it is not new. There have been many in the history of the church who have been doing all they can to erase the ongoing importance of Israel.

Sadly, this is the consequence of a government and a culture that has let antisemitism run amok. Violent anti-Jewish protests are not rare in Australia, and law enforcement does little to stop it. Jew-haters are emboldened to strike out, even to the point of protesting at a memorial for the victims of the Bondi Beach attack. Antisemitism has been normalized in Australia, and I don’t believe the government has the will or the backbone to counter it. That is why I am calling on all Jews who live in Australia to come to your ancestral home in Israel. You will be welcomed with open arms, and you will finally feel safe once again.
The deeper we look at this man, the more apparent it becomes that while he says the right words, his actions betray him. He is playing the Muslim long game, similar to the “soft takeover” that Islam has carried out in Europe. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and I hope that President Donald Trump and other world leaders have enough insight to see him for who he really is. Al-Sharaa’s soft takeover is indicative of Islam’s global strategy. The clearest sign of this is in Europe where Muslim violence is blending with the vicious nature of the radical left to steal the peace of the continent.

Unfortunately for the prosecution, the already weak case is now deteriorating by the day. Everyone in the country sees it for what it is, but there are still enough Netanyahu haters amongst the citizens and the power-drunk judicial branch of the government to keep the court case going. Thus, in the midst of a seven-front war, the Prime Minister is forced to spend three days a week in court defending himself against politically motivated drivel.
Today, believers take two approaches to Islam: either fearing it as the ultimate end-times threat or downplaying it like any other religion. Both miss the mark completely. To understand why, we need to examine what's actually happening in our world and what the Bible really teaches about the end times.

I can still remember some of the brilliant memes that came out following President Trump’s first term visit to Saudi Arabia. He was welcomed in Riyadh with a hero’s pomp, very different from the reception Joe Biden received. When Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman came to the White House Tuesday, Trump returned the honor. Why would the president of the most powerful nation on earth roll out the red carpet to this extent to a crown prince?

International pressure is building for Israel to give free passage to the terrorists who are trapped within the borders of the no-pass Yellow Line. But that’s utter nonsense. What army would let their enemy saunter out of a place where they are stuck, just so they can go and rearm, get well-nourished, then join back in the fight?

It all started in early July 2024, when allegations were made against IDF soldiers of brutality against Hamas prisoners. Investigation into the recording itself uncovered that it was a combining of two different incidents edited to show the alleged event in the worst possible light. This was a doctored recording leaked with a false narrative. That left one question: who leaked it?

Another week has gone by, and it appears that my country is back at war. Or maybe it isn’t. It’s so hard to tell these days. In one moment, we have a big celebration over the signing of a ceasefire agreement. We see our living hostages come home in a semi-timely manner, according to the agreed-to terms. The remains of our beloved deceased hostages also start coming in. They’re late and the delivery is sporadic, but at least it’s something. The next thing I know, I’m reading about our soldiers being killed again in Gaza.
After the Rafah incident, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately ordered a halt of humanitarian aid but has since recommenced the supplies. Qatar quickly criticized Israel, neglecting the violent impetus perpetrated by Hamas and the way the terrorist group consistently breaks the agreement in provocative and deadly ways.

We have our living hostages back. Twenty men who somehow survived the beatings, the starvation, and whatever other brutalities the monsters of Hamas subjected them to. While I do not fully agree with everything in the peace agreement, I am more than willing to overlook any disagreement because these men are now home. God is good. His name is to be praised.
Israel will pull back from their present positions but will remain in the Philadelphi Corridor and inside the borders of Gaza. Hamas has in their mind that this is the end of the war, but Israel says, “We’ll see.” This agreement is just phase one of the process. If the terrorists fail to keep any part of the agreement to the letter, Israel will have full permission to destroy them.
