RCMP Commissioner Urges Canadians to Report ‘Anti-Government’ Internet Activity, Comments to Police

RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki urged Canadians to report suspicious Internet behavior, including comments by people who express “anti-government, anti-law enforcement” opinions.

The commissioner’s statement was obtained Monday by Blacklock’s Reporter.

“When in doubt, report it,” said Lucki. “It’s easy to overlook the seemingly ordinary moments that make up our days.”

The RCMP issued a guide called “Reporting Suspicious Incidents to Police” on Monday that encouraged Internet users to watch out for people with suspicious politics or “anti-authority” views that “include anti-government, anti-law enforcement and anarchist” opinions or “grievance-driven ideologies.”

“This category can encompass new and emerging ideologically motivated threats such as environment, animal rights, etc.,” said the guide. “The goal of the initiative is to enhance the quality of information being shared with police and to encourage the reporting of suspicious incidents and activities.”

The guide went on to advise that some people hold social or political beliefs that might be “considered extreme or outside mainstream ideologies.” It said while some ideas might be concerning to people, the police should become involved “when a person uses or actively supports violence to achieve ideological, religious or political goals.”

The RCMP added that law enforcement “has no role in policing the thoughts of Canadians.”

Despite this position, the federal police force openly endorsed Bill C-36, which would have brought in $70,000 fines or house arrest for Internet users suspected of making legal but offensive posts “that involve detestation or vilification” of identifiable groups. Bill C-36 was introduced in June but died in Parliament with the calling of the 2021 federal election.

“Law enforcement has to have the ability to use the law effectively,” RCMP Corporal Anthony Statham told a webinar sponsored by the Canadian Anti-Hate Network in July. “In Canada, we don’t have anything regulating speech.”

According to Statham, Bill C-36 was “a very good thing” because it would allow police officers to “see more things through to charges.”

HD Editor’s Note: Why Is This News Biblically Relevant?

The statement by the RCMP Commissioner drew a flurry of condemnation on Social Media, with many comparing her comments to Germany’s Nazis in the ’30s which sought to silence all voices critical of their narrative/propaganda.

Particular concern surrounded the fact that her comments were directed largely at those who hold beliefs “outside mainstream ideologies.” In other words, views that are deemed counter to the progressive narrative espoused by the Canadian Government.

In recent years, this has often manifested itself through hostility toward those with alternative views regarding COVID lockdowns, vaccine mandates, sexual morality, gender, abortion, climate change, and even the definition of truth itself.

It may be surprising for some to learn that most often it is Christian beliefs categorized as unacceptable by Canadian politicians and lawmakers.

As Christian writer Samuel Sey recently explained, “Canada isn’t just a post-Christian nation—it’s an anti-Christian nation.”

The world may try to redefine morality and suppress opposing views, but it is the duty of Christians to be unwavering in the truth found in God’s Word.

In 2026, People Are Once Again Calling The Jewish People A ‘Cancer’ To The World

In "Mein Kampf" and some of his public speeches, Hitler compared Jews to vermin, called us "sub-human," "parasites," and even a "deadly cancerous ulcers," which in both cases invited people to destroy us to make the world a better place. Fast forward to 2026, and we are again a "cancer" to the rest of the world. What are people called to do with cancer? Stop it, slow it down, or better yet, if at all possible, eradicate it. Enter Megyn Kelly, who uses the exact same terminology.

Parents and Christian school administrators should ask why they are doing it, what they hope to gain, and if they are aligned with your theological and cultural values. The Rite Journey, though used in Christian schools, has no mention of Christ or the Bible anywhere in their workbook and only passing, theoretical mentions of God. Rather than trusting the discernment of these Christian schools using it as indicating this being appropriate in schools at all, much less other Christian schools, parents need to be aware that when they send their children to Christian schools, programs like these may indeed be discipling their children but not with a biblical worldview.

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back “not for your sake but for my holy name’s sake,” because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
