TRENDING:

The Iranian Regime Is Not Interested In Making Peace; And That Doesn’t Shock Students Of God’s Word

The world’s attention is fixed on the situation in Israel after Iran began launching ballistic missiles into the Jewish State last Sunday.

Iran stated that the attack was in retaliation for Israel’s strike on Hezbollah in Beirut, which it had previously warned would be the consequence of any Israeli action in the Lebanese capital.

Of course, Israel’s operation was not out of the blue, but a direct response to Hezbollah resuming its rocket and drone attacks into northern Israel, placing Israeli civilians and soldiers directly in harm’s way.

After Iran began sending waves of ballistic missiles toward the Jewish State, the Houthis in Yemen, another one of Iran’s proxies, also got in on the action, launching projectiles and threatening a total ban on Israeli shipping in the Red Sea.

Thankfully, all the missiles were intercepted, and Israel wasted no time in striking key targets in Iran.

“Each one of those missiles can level an entire neighborhood and kill hundreds,” Israel’s ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter, wrote on X. “No self-respecting country in the world would tolerate such an attack, and neither will Israel.”

“Israel is now targeting Iranian surface-to-surface missile launch sites, as well as infrastructure facilities unrelated to the energy sector,” Leiter continued. “The people of Lebanon have rejected Iran’s proxy, Hezbollah, and have told Iran to get out of their country. If Hezbollah fires at Israel, its command centers in the Dahiyeh will be hit hard. This has nothing to do with Iran.”

“Everyone has had enough of this maniacal Iranian regime,” he emphasized.

Leiter’s counterpart, US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, had this to say, posting on X: “Iran fired missiles at Israel last night & early today. The missile alerts sounded at 6 a.m. in Jerusalem. They were intercepted, thank God! Iran & its proxy agents of evil want to incinerate America & Israel. Mothership of Satan is in Tehran.”

President Trump is also evaluating the whole situation, taking to Truth Social to demand that “Israel and Iran immediately stop shooting.”

As of the time of publication, there has been a halt in further strikes between the two nations. However, this may not last long. The IDF has continued to battle Hezbollah in the north, and its response to the Houthis in Yemen is yet to be determined.

All of this is taking place as President Trump continues to inform the world that a peace deal “is coming,” perhaps even in the next few days. Of course, peace would be great—if it were possible. But for those of us who are students of God’s Word, we know that lasting peace is only coming when the Prince of Peace, Israel’s Messiah, Yeshua, returns. Period.

That’s not to say that we shouldn’t be praying and striving for peace in the interim. But trying to make peace with the “mothership of Satan,” as Ambassador Huckabee put it, is a losing battle.

The Iranian regime is not interested in making peace. That doesn’t surprise most people, especially students of God’s Word. They are master negotiators, deceivers, stallers, manipulators, and they are never going to give up their ambitions to destroy Israel, the “little Satan,” and the United States, the “great Satan.”

As I’ve said many times, this is a spiritual battle. This is about good versus evil. Satan is alive and well, working in the sons of disobedience—as working overtime within the Iranian regime.

But God.

The God of Israel will prevail, and one day the Messiah will crush Satan’s head, as we read in Genesis 3:15. He will destroy Satan forever one day.

In the end, Israel wins because the God of Israel wins. You can be sure of that. Let’s keep praying for the peace of Jerusalem amid the unfolding situation.

In Psalm 83:17-18, we read Asaf’s final words to Israel’s enemies: “Let them be confounded and dismayed forever; Yes, let them be put to shame and perish, That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, Are the Most High over all the earth.”

The God of Israel will prevail and win. He is already winning because He knows the beginning from the end. He told us in His word how things will play out. Iran is no match for the God of this universe.

The Freedom To Stand On God’s Word: White House Commission Releases 200-Page Report On Safeguarding Religious Liberty

The stories, collected from seven hearings held by the commission, came from parents, students, school teachers, military chaplains, military service members and health care workers, as well as private sector employees and religious institution leaders. Referring to the witnesses, Commissioner Franklin Graham said that there is “a thread that runs through all … these [testimonies], and that is the thread of what’s right and having the guts to stand for what’s right.” The report said the witnesses’ “commitment to stand by their beliefs” has played a “consequential role in preserving religious liberty for all Americans.

Our Founders Unashamedly Endorsed A Recognition That The Affairs Of Men Are Subject To God’s Overarching Authority

I was alive in 1976, when America celebrated its bicentennial. Now, just fifty years later, many in our own country would rather denounce than celebrate our national heritage. Their scorn is heaped highest on the faith foundations our Founders unashamedly endorsed: reverence for God, respect for the Savior, and a recognition that the affairs of men are subject to His overarching authority. We’ve come a long way—in the wrong direction.

Thomas Jefferson’s ‘Separation Of Church And State’ Never Meant Keeping God Out Of Government

In context, it’s clear this wall of separation was not created to keep religion out of the State. It was simply intended to protect religious freedom and to place boundaries on the State’s control over the Church. In fact, the United States Capitol served as a church building for seven decades and Jefferson himself was a regular attendee. He attended so faithfully that he earned a reserved seat. On the Sunday after he wrote the letter to the Danbury Baptists, he attended church services at the still-under-construction Capitol.
