Chinese Communist Party Solidifies Xi As Leader On Par With Mao

The Chinese Communist Party has solidified President Xi Jinping’s place in history as one of the key figures of its party.

As reported by the BBC, “The Chinese Communist Party has passed a ‘historical resolution’, cementing Xi Jinping’s status in political history. The document, a summary of the party’s 100-year history, addresses its key achievements and future directions.”

The move is the third of its type since the party was founded. The first resolution was reportedly “passed by Mao Zedong in 1945 and the second by Deng Xiaoping in 1981,” reports BBC.

The action could be a move to put Xi on par with Mao and Deng, as some note that this could be an attempt to place Xi in a high political position as Xi attempts to continue to hold onto power and maintain his manufactured reputation.

As NPR reported: “Central Committee members declared Xi’s ideology the ‘essence of Chinese culture’ as they wrapped up a leadership meeting. In unusually effusive language even for a Chinese leader, a party statement said it was ‘of decisive significance’ for ‘the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.’”

The New York Times reported, “In 2018, Mr. Xi made a bold power play by eliminating a term limit on the presidency, opening the way for him to lead China indefinitely. That move overturned widespread expectations that the party had been settling into a 10-year cap on leaders’ time in power.”

An official summary of the meeting, where the decision was made, said that under the leadership of Xi, China has “made historic achievements and undergone a historic transformation.” First under Mao, Deng and now Xi, the summary said, China had “achieved the tremendous transformation from standing up and growing prosperous to becoming strong.”

On Thursday, in a recording to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, Xi pressed Asian countries to avoid creating “small circles on geopolitical grounds.”

“The Asia-Pacific region cannot and should not relapse into the antagonism and division of the Cold War era,” said the Chinese leader.

Earlier this week, China made headlines when it was reported that its military created “full-scale sized mockups of major U.S. warships, including an aircraft carrier, to use at a new target range complex as tensions between the U.S. and China continue to rise amid geopolitical issues in the South China Sea and responsibility for the coronavirus pandemic,” per The Daily Wire.

“The full-scale outline of a U.S. carrier and at least two Arleigh Burke-class destroyers are part of the target range that has been built in the Ruoqiang region in central China. The site is near a former target range China used to test early versions of its so-called carrier killer DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missiles,” The U.S. Naval Institute reported. “This new range shows that China continues to focus on anti-carrier capabilities, with an emphasis on U.S. Navy warships. Unlike the Iranian Navy’s aircraft carrier-shaped target in the Persian Gulf, the new facility shows signs of a sophisticated instrumented target range.”

The Daily Wire noted, “When asked about the matter on Monday, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that ’it’s been pretty, fairly obvious’ that the U.S. is concerned about what China is doing.”

“I think makes it very clear what our understanding of their intentions are, and their capabilities are. And how they’re developing those capabilities and to what ends,” Kirby said. “And clearly, they have invested a lot and particularly air and maritime capabilities that are designed largely to try to prevent the United States from having access to certain areas in the Indo-Pacific.”

Xi Jinping has often sought to parallel himself to the Chinese Communist Party founding leader, Mao Zedong.

Back in July, Xi delivered a fiery speech in which he said that foreign forces who try to “bully,” “oppress,” or “enslave” china will face “broken heads and bloodshed.”

Xi Jinping’s speech was purposefully reminiscent of mass events held by former Chinese communist leader, Mao Zedong. Xi’s remarks were made on the same balcony at Tiananmen Gate on which Mao in 1949 declared the beginning of communist rule. The CCP leader even went as far as to sport a grey buttoned-up suit identical to that which was worn by Mao.

According to AP, Xi’s hour-long speech emphasized the nation’s need to stick to its “one-party rule” and the “communists’ role in lifting China to global prominence.”

Xi Jinping has also throughout his terms, carried similar actions to Mao in his desire to snuff out Christianity from the atheist ruled country.

The Epoch Times, in their article, “Replacing God: The CCP’s Century-Long War Against Faith,” explained that Mao was extraordinarily hostile to religion comparing it to poison and stating in 1954 that it “undermines the race” and “retards the progress of the country.”

Under Xi’s rule, the Communist regime has destroyed churches, removed crosses, and attempted to “patriotize” houses of worship by demanding they remove Christian symbols and replace them with images of himself or Mao.

Harbingers Daily has covered many of the developments regarding the targeting Christianity in China, including the banning of Bibles and the re-writing of Scripture to promote communist compliance.

China has been emboldened in recent months. The Communist-run country has increased its brazenness exponentially due to what many are dubbing a “post-America world-order” under the weak leadership of the Biden Administration.

In Matthew 24, the disciples ask Jesus, “What shall be the sign of thy coming?” Jesus’s response is a detailed description of the condition of the world and what it will look like in the last days before His return. Wars and rumours of wars, nation rising against nation, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, these being the beginning of sorrows.

In Luke 21:25, Jesus says, “There will be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth Distress of Nations with Perplexity, the seas and the wave roaring. These things will be greatly increased and primarily take place during the seven-year Tribulation (from which the church is absent). However, with the current global state of turmoil amongst the nations, we can’t help but recognize the distress of nations Jesus describes in Luke 21 and Matthew 24, rising in our world today.

Shifting Public Opinion: The Appeal Of Pride Month Appears To Be Fading

For years, June brought a predictable wave of corporate logos, advertising campaigns, themed merchandise, and public celebrations. Parents learned to pay closer attention to commercials in family programming, sports fans grew accustomed to Pride-themed uniforms and promotions, and many city streets became venues for often indecent displays at Pride parades. This year is noticeably different. The symbols are not gone, but they are far less prominent. It’s premature to say Pride has fallen, but it is fair to say the appeal of Pride Month has faded.

A Wake-Up Call: Report Finds That Australian Christians Are Opting For Silence Over Societal Pushback

Over the past few years, I have spoken with countless believers who feel increasingly hesitant to express their faith openly. Teachers are unsure what they can say in the classroom. Healthcare workers worry about the consequences of acting according to their conscience. Employees feel pressure to keep their beliefs private in the workplace. Parents are concerned about the values being promoted in schools and public institutions. Perhaps the most significant finding is not that Christians are facing challenges. Jesus told us to expect opposition. Rather, it is that many believers are quietly withdrawing from public life. They are self-censoring.

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back “not for your sake but for my holy name’s sake,” because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
