Ten years ago, even five years ago, it would have been practically unimaginable to see people like Abdul El-Sayed and Adam Hamawi have legitimate shots of winning seats in Congress. But here we are, just days before the midterm elections on November 3rd.
Both El-Sayed and Hamawi have ties to radical Islam that should disqualify them from ever running for office in the United States. Yet El-Sayed is neck and neck with Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan in the battle for a U.S. Senate seat, and Hamawi, a Democrat, is favored to win in New Jersey’s 12th congressional district.
Adam Hamawi, who has links to a notorious Al-Qaeda cleric, may soon be packing his bags and heading to Capitol Hill. That cleric’s name was Omar Abdel-Rahman, also known as โthe Blind Sheikh,โ and he masterminded the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and was sentenced to life in prison.
Adam Hamawi served as a defense witness for the Sheikh at his trial and admitted to sharing a very long car ride with him when they traveled together from New Jersey to Detroit to attend an Islamic conference in 1991. Hanging out with and defending an Al-Qaeda terrorist cleric in court is a unique characteristic for a U.S. congressional candidateโฆ but if you think that’s bad, listen to Abdul El-Sayed’s credentials.
El-Sayedโs stepsister has openly bragged about their family’s long-time involvement with the Muslim Brotherhood. That includes his mother, who reportedly belonged to the Brotherhood and also worked for an Islamic organization that funneled money to Osama Bin Laden.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, El-Sayed’s father โโฆsits on the board of a notorious Islamic charity that was once busted for funneling cash to Saddam Hussein and has been raided by the FBI and the U.S. militaryโฆโ The board also features two current members who belong to (you guessed it) the Muslim Brotherhood.
As for Abdul El-Sayed himself, he signed on to a letter to Egypt’s then-President Mohamed Morsi back in 2012 urging the Muslim Brotherhood leader to purge the media and police. How nice. It’s no wonder El-Sayed has gone on record defending Islamic Sharia law.
โWhen the state of Oklahoma voted in a referendum to amend the constitution to ban Sharia law, what does that mean?โ El-Sayed said, reading out a question. โI don’t know. And yet the voters banned it anyway. I don’t have to tell you that the same exact forces that drove native peoples from their land two centuries ago, destroyed Black Wall Street a century ago, bombed a building decades ago, and tried to ban Sharia law not a decade agoโฆ those forces are alive and well today.โ
Folks, Islamic Sharia law is incompatible with the U.S. Constitution.
So is, by the way, the Muslim Brotherhood, which is banned in Florida and Texas, not to mention several Islamic countries, because it is a terrorist organization. Yet the Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate seat in Michigan has a litany of ties to this group.
What I just shared only scratches the surface, believe me.
El-Sayed is just one of several Democrat candidates who have ties to various radical ideologies like Islamism, socialism, and communism. The stakes on November 3rd could not be higher for our country. Please don’t even think about sitting this one out. Be in prayer and go out to vote.
