President Trump declares Sunday a National Day of Prayer Amid Coronavirus Crisis

Following the decision to declare a state of emergency in the United States over the coronavirus pandemic, the President took to twitter to make an additional declaration: Sunday, March 15th, 2020, will be a national day of Prayer.

“We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these….” the President tweeted. “No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!”

Franklin Graham put out a statement via email calling for Christians to commit to joining the president in prayer Sunday over the deadly virus.

In the email, Rev. Graham explained that although some churches may be closed, that does not stop the Body of Christ from coming and kneeling before the Lord in Prayer.

Our President has declared tomorrow, Sunday, March 15, to be a National Day of Prayer. He reminded the entire country that throughout its history, the United States has looked to God for strength and protection in times like these.

I am thankful to President Trump for recognizing the power of prayer and showing faith in the Lord to intervene on our behalf. With so much uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus around the world, people are afraid. Now is the time for Christians to be strong and courageous, knowing that Almighty God is with us. As His Word instructs, we are to cast our cares upon Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

We need to pray for those who are sick and their families, for those who are living in fear and anxiousness, for the professionals who are providing medical care, for those working on treatments and a vaccine for COVID-19, and for our leaders to act with wisdom and courage as they make vital decisions that impact each of our lives. Please also lift up the President and our nationโ€™s coronavirus task force headed by Vice President Mike Pence in prayer as they work closely and diligently with the myriad of issues related to this pandemic.

I WILL PRAY

Some churches are not meeting in person for worship this Sunday to avoid possibly spreading the virus. But that doesnโ€™t prevent us as the Body of Christ from coming before the Lord, kneeling in prayer, and pouring our hearts out to Him.ย โ€œLet us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of needโ€ย (Hebrews 4:16, NKJV).

I ask that you contact your friends and family and ask them to join in prayer tomorrow, whether gathered together in person, or in their homes.

Denying The Jewish Peopleโ€™s Connection To Jerusalem Would Be Laughable… If So Many Nations Didn’t Believe It

In December 2017, U.S. President Donald Trump decided to implement the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995. He recognized Jerusalem as the official capital of the State of Israel, which calls for Jerusalem to remain an undivided city, and ordered the federal government to relocate the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalemโ€”a move timed to help celebrate Israelโ€™s 70th birthday. The UN General Assembly then countered with the โ€œStatus of Jerusalemโ€ resolutionโ€”which passed 128 to 9, with 35 abstentionsโ€”denying the Jewish peopleโ€™s connection to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

Global Tensions Expose The Vast Contrast Between Human Hope And Godโ€™s Promises

In the Bible, hope is closely connected to waiting. Not waiting in the sense that we are still uncertain about the outcome, but steadfastly waiting because we fully expect the outcome God promised in His Word. In other words, manโ€™s definition of hope carries doubt. Godโ€™s does not. As such, Biblical hope is a sure foundation upon which we may base our lives, believing that God always keeps His promises.

Prophetic Pieces: As Putin Ups The Ante In The Arms Race, Russia Considers Providing Refuge To Top Iranian Leaders

Prophetic events in the end times right now are casting their shadows over the Middle East like never before. Preparations for the Gog Magog coalition prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39 are increasing and intensifying. Written 2,500 years ago by Ezekiel, these chapters prophesy an end-time invasion of Israel led by the nations of Russia, Iran, and Turkey. Two significant developments showcase that the prophetic pieces are falling perfectly into place.
