Amir Tsarfati – Bible Bite: He Who Promised is Faithful

We are an amazing generation that gets to live in the days of Ezekiel. Isn’t that interesting how the Old Testament prophet has given us today’s news? I mean, our newspapers today are less accurate than Ezekiel 36, 37, 38, and 39. Thinking of chapter 36, when he spoke of the restoration of the land of Israel, “I speak to you, o mountains of Israel. Shook forth your branches and yield your fruit for my people, Israel, for they are about to come.” Israel was a dead, barren wasteland.

Mark Twain shows up in the 1800s and testifies of all of that. He says to the people, “Nothing, nothing could grow there and no one lived there.” In Ezekiel 37, speaking of the restoration of the people of Israel from their European grave, “I tell you, all my people, I’m going to open your graves, and I will pull you out of your graves, and I will set you on your own soil,” He said. “I will bring you to the land of Israel,” He said, “And then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it because He who promised is faithful.” So, we already see the faithfulness of God in action with signs that He gives us. We don’t know the day. We don’t know the hour. We don’t know the minute, but He allowed us by His grace to see so many things happening.”

What a great and awesome God we serve! He creates galaxies by the billions out of nothing, He commands there to be light, and there is, He sets boundaries for the seas, and they must obey. He says to the blind, lame and diseased “be healed” and they are, He proclaims to the captives be free, and they are released. He says to an uninhabited and unfruitful land that it will be fruitful and filled with his people, and it is. What a mighty God we serve!

Psalm 8:3-9 – “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, All sheep and oxen— Even the beasts of the field, The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas.
O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

King David reminds us of so many wonderful things here that we would all do well to remember. A quick glance to the heavens reminds us of the vastness and greatness of our God. The dominion God has placed into the hands of man over all that He has created. It is also noteworthy that David is amazed that in the midst of the vastness of His creation that God is mindful of man.

The mindfulness of God over man is nowhere more evident than in His love and faithfulness towards His chosen people Israel. They are scattered among the nations for centuries, for their national rejection of the Messiah. Yet promised a return to their homeland that will again flourish under the blessings of God.

Psalms 94:14 – “For the Lord will not cast off His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance.”

What a privileged time to be alive as we have seen the faithfulness of God leap off the pages of scripture and become actualized right before our eyes. The Jews are back in the land, and the land is flourishing under their care proving that God has not cast off His people even in the midst of His severe discipline, He has remained mindful of them.

Ezekiel 36:22-30 – “Therefore say to the house of Israel, “Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.

Every day that the Jews were outside of the land, God promised to them the name of the Lord was profaned. For His holy names sake, He has brought them back into the land that the nations may know He is the Lord. He has not brought them back into the land simply to bless them and cause the land to flourish. He brought them back into the land to give them a new heart and a new spirit and to cause them to walk in His statutes and keep His judgments.

Romans 11:25-27 – “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.”

Christians around the world sing the lyrics to the song written by Robert Lowry in 1876; “What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

This is true for Jew and Gentile alike, and someday when the Deliverer comes out of Zion, this will happen;

Zechariah 12:10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

How do we know this will happen? The Jews are back in the land, and the land is flourishing in preparation for the Seventieth week of Daniel and the return of the Holy One of Israel to the earth. At that moment, they will look upon the one from whose side flowed water and blood, and by His shed blood, all Israel will be saved!

What a mighty God we serve!

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.

‘They Want Us To Shut Our Mouths’: Large Banks Debanked, Discriminated Against Customers For Christian Views

Nine of the nation’s largest banks relied on subjective decision-making and the opinions of advocacy organizations to terminate customer accounts or deny service to potential customers—often because of Biblical beliefs on key moral issues—between 2020 and September 2025. The findings, released Wednesday, were part of a report from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury that charters, regulates, and supervises banks and federal savings associations.

No More Excuses Or Theological Gymnastics: Christians Are Called To Love The Jewish People

I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ, but I’m wounded when I hear fellow believers dismiss or attack Israel and the Jewish people. The laundry list of excuses for this behavior includes many acrobatic contortions of Scripture that distance Christians from Jewish people. Antisemitic tropes also play a part in these condemnations. So does misinformation about the Jewish nation, as many Christians understand little of the State of Israel’s history of fighting for its life in defensive wars. They look at the nation’s activity in Gaza and Iran as an unforgivable sin because of the negative optics of military conflict, and they refuse to honor Scripture’s call to bless His Chosen People—even those who have never set foot in Israeli land.

In A Culture Of Trendy Lies, It Is Time To Speak Up More Clearly In Support Of Israel And The Jewish People

We must remember our friends and our allies around the world—particularly Israel and the Jewish people, the one distinct ethnic group of people about which God tells us in His Word to bless and to support. In Genesis 12:3, what did God say to Abraham? “I will bless those who bless you.” Yet many people these days, including a lot of Christians, think that it is trendy, intellectual-sounding, or will garner clicks to oppose things all related to the Jews. Anti-Semitism is on the rise around the world. 2025 was designated by the Anti-Defamation League as the deadliest year of anti-Semitism. Three months after October 7th in 2023, anti-Semitism had risen 360%.
