Voltaire’s infamous and incorrectly attributed line “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it” has been used by old-school liberals for decades to define their once-staunchly held belief in freedom of speech. But much of that has changed in the last few years, and dramatically so. Too many liberals believe it is their sworn social duty to keep you from saying certain things. Especially those who oversee the world’s largest and most powerful social media platforms.
As The Daily Citizen reported in late October, Indiana congressman Jim Banks was put in Twitter time-out for using true language that offended Jack and company. Rep. Banks sin? He simply tweeted, “The title of first female four-star officer gets taken by a man.”
Of course, Banks was referring to Dr. “Rachel” Levine, who is the first transgender individual to serve as Assistant Secretary for Health at the Department of Health and Human Services, but also became the first “woman” to earn the lofty position of “first female four-star admiral of the U.S. Public Health Services Commissioned Corps” according to HHS’s official press release. But of course, the admission that Levine is transgender means precisely that he was born and lived as a man for most of his life until he began presenting as female in 2011, as reported in The Hill. Yes, the first female four-star office is indeed a biological male. The HHS press release itself established the very fact of what Rep. Banks was put in Twitter jail for saying.
Days ago, Rep. Banks was allowed to start tweeting again because he deleted the offending tweet. His first tweet was to send a serious shot over the bow of Big Tech.
He said, “I won’t be the last person Big Tech tried to silence” then announced his future intentions as a sworn representative of the people.
“When we win back the majority next year, I am going to lead the fight to hold Big Tech accountable for their censorship of conservative voices. So, here’s what you can do to help me: Follow, share, like what I am doing and stay tuned for more.”
It was less than 50 years that one of the nation’s premier liberal organizations, the ACLU, understood the dire importance of defending speech they vigorously disagreed with. They believed this with such passion, the ACLU famously fought to defend the right of Chicago-area Nazis to hold a legal demonstration in Skokie, Illinois.
But how all that has changed. Today, leading liberals have moved from defending free-speech to stamping out any voices that insists biological sex is real.

David Fiorazo, author of “Canceling Christianity,” discussed the topic of censorship in his article, “Censorship Is Here – and They’re Coming for Christians.”
“Threats to our religious liberty were subtle a few decades ago,” he explained. “But then came the discrimination, the propaganda, the intolerance of the left and the politically correct mob, and now, cancel culture. But more Christian Americans are fed up! Many of us have decided: The more the culture tries to silence us, the more we will fight to speak the truth.“
“Community guidelines, medical misinformation, hate speech, double standards, content no longer available, ‘posts didn’t follow our standards,’ …I’ve heard enough,” the Stand Up For The Truth radio host said. “So have a majority of Christians, pastors, and ministry leaders. Censorship isn’t coming for you sometime down the road if you dare speak the truth; it’s here, friends.”
“The left can’t win arguments and debates because their policies are awful and their worldview is warped,” he insisted. “They rejected God so they now have to silence those who disagree with them and who hold to a biblical worldview.”
On multiple occasions in 2021, we have seen transgender biological males win female positions and contests, such as beauty pageants, homecoming queen, and sportswomen of the year.
Fiorazo on this topic, further wrote, “How do you feel about this? How do feminists feel about this? What do former transgender individuals think about it? Most importantly, what does God think?”
“How about truth?” Fiorazo asked. “Man cannot reassign what God designed! I thought one motto of the left is ‘follow the science.’ Are they in denial on this issue?”
“The celebration of depravity and calling evil good reflects a deeper problem: rebelling against a holy God and denying His creation,” Fiorazo asserted. “And the brainwashing has reached a toxic level in our culture. This is what communist nations do; non-stop propaganda until public opinion changes and people surrender.”
