Nova Scotia Gov’t Bans Citizens From Gathering To Support Freedom Convoy Truckers

The province of Nova Scotia has issued an edict making it illegal for citizens to gather along the highway and cheer on the truckers driving to Ottawa to protest vaccine mandates.

On Friday, the provincial government of Nova Scotia issued a “Highway Blockade Ban” warning citizens that they are not to gather in support of the convoy of trucks headed to the nation’s capital. While the directive states that the purpose of the ban is because gathering in “those areas would put themselves and others at risk,” the convoys have made it across the entire nation with similar gatherings, without a report of a single incident.

Effective immediately, “all persons are prohibited from stopping parking or operating a vehicle or putting any item in such a manner as to create or contribute to a partial or complete blockade of the normal flow of vehicle traffic on a road, street or highway in the province,” reads the directive.

In addition to the broad rules, the edict names the “2022 Freedom Convoy” specifically, making it a crime punishable by up to 100,000 dollars to participate in, finance, aid, encourage, or support “an interruption of the normal flow of vehicle traffic” in relation to the convoy.

Famed Canadian psychologist Dr. Jordan B. Peterson took to Twitter to denounce the unconstitutional measures against the right of Canadians to peacefully assemble.

“This has truly crossed a line: Nova Scotia bans gatherings along highway in support of trucker freedom convoy,” posted Peterson this morning.

“What the hell are you thinking [Nova Scotia premier] @TimHoustonNS? How dare you make it illegal for Canadians to express their political opinions? Your actions have crossed the line into outright political illegitimacy. Beware.”

“I can’t believe they would do that,” Nova Scotia driver and convoy organizer Martin Brodmann told True North Centre News on Friday. “This whole journey has been such an enjoyment,” and the convoy was something “that had to be done.”

Despite Prime Minister Justin Trudeau calling the convoy now arriving in Ottawa to protest vaccine mandates and COVID coercion a “small fringe minority,” it is becoming increasingly clear that the movement has widespread support.

Videos and photos have been circulating on social media showing thousands of protestors gathered in Ottawa’s Parliament Hill to express their support for the convoy.

While the true number of protestors is currently unknown, organizers and supporters have estimated that as many as 50,000 trucks may be arriving in the capital this weekend, with videos from last night already showing a firework-laden sky as trucks formed a gridlock in Ottawa’s downtown core.

HD Editor’s Note: ‘Pray The Voice Of Freedom Will Be Heard Loud & Clear’

The media, politicians, and others have tried desperately to smear the Canadian Freedom Convoy by deliberately misrepresenting what the convoy and its supporters stand for.

Canadian News organization True North, explained that the “legacy media is going into overdrive to discredit, demonize and tarnish the protestors.”

“One outlet even went as far as to warn those that financially support the convoy as potentially financing ‘domestic terrorism,'” TNC reported.

The issue that many in the Canadian mainstream media are currently facing is that the support of this protest is incredibly vast in the country, therefore, many Canadians know firsthand that the accusations being made against the convoy and its supporters are blatantly false.

Franklin Graham took to social media to commend the Convoy. Graham in his message rejected the claims by the Canadian PM who sought to belittle the convoy, and asked Christians to pray that “the voice of freedom will be heard loud and clear.”

“Canada has experienced some of the strictest pandemic lockdowns in the world. The government shut down churches and even put pastors in jail. And now with the vaccine mandates, many people are just fed up—including these truck drivers. There’s a convoy, possibly 50,000 trucks strong, going from British Columbia all the way to Ottawa to protest,” he described. “This would be the largest convoy in all of history, with thousands of people cheering them along the way, on roadsides and overpasses. It’s incredible.”

“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called the 40+ miles-long convoy of freedom truckers ‘a small fringe minority who are…holding unacceptable views,'” he wrote. “This doesn’t look like a small fringe to me! I’m afraid if President Biden and his socialists had their way, they would like the U.S. to have this same level of lockdowns, restrictions, and mandates.”

“Not only is Canada our neighbor to the north, they’ve been one of our strongest allies throughout history,” Graham said. “We love the Canadian people and have many friends there. When they get to Ottawa, maybe these truckers will just turn south and head to Washington, DC! Pray that the voice of freedom will be heard loud and clear.”

Major Supreme Court Rulings Offer A Mixed Bag For Common-Sense Conservatives

The Court struck a major blow against transgender madness. Unfortunately, the Court went against the will of a majority of the American people in two other cases, ruling that mail-in ballots can be counted after Election Day, and shooting down President Trump’s executive order outlawing birthright citizenship. Long term, this is a potential national security risk.

Will America Last Another 250 Years?

Looking back, there can be no denying that God has indeed shed His grace—His unmerited favor—on our land, from sea to shining sea. But does our national “soul” encourage self-control? Do our laws champion ordered liberty? Is our success tempered with nobleness? Is brotherhood the defining characteristic of any good we aspire to reflect? By all of those measures, America seems decidedly adrift. We are drifting farther and farther from Nature’s God—the Ruler of the Universe our Founders called upon and credited with for our celebrated independence.

Thomas Jefferson’s ‘Separation Of Church And State’ Never Meant Keeping God Out Of Government

In context, it’s clear this wall of separation was not created to keep religion out of the State. It was simply intended to protect religious freedom and to place boundaries on the State’s control over the Church. In fact, the United States Capitol served as a church building for seven decades and Jefferson himself was a regular attendee. He attended so faithfully that he earned a reserved seat. On the Sunday after he wrote the letter to the Danbury Baptists, he attended church services at the still-under-construction Capitol.
