God’s Timeline Directing Global Politics: The US-Iran MoU And The Perplexing Shift Of American Foreign Policy

I have been greatly frustrated as I’ve watched what appears to be the capitulation of the United States to Iran. But in the grand scheme, what I feel doesn’t really matter. We don’t have to like everything that we see, because we know that in many cases it has to happen.

God has not ceded His authority to anyone else. There are times that He will allow events to take place that we will love and celebrate. There are other times when He will permit situations that will sadden us or frustrate us or even cause us anger. But we know that no matter what those occurrences are, they have to take place to move us further along God’s timeline. And every advance on that timeline means we are one step closer to being taken up to meet our Savior in the clouds!

That being said, this whole MoU that’s been agreed upon between the US and Iran is a complete balagan! How does a nearly defeated enemy end up in a better position than when it first went to war? It’s absurd. It’s like the Allies making it to Berlin in 1945 but stopping before a final victory, then signing an agreement that leaves the Nazi party in power. Make it make sense!

In my last article, I listed out the many things that have been done by President Trump and the United States that have been such a blessing to Israel. I’ve always held admiration for America’s current leader. But just because you hold someone in high respect, it doesn’t mean you have to always agree with him. And calling him out for some of his decisions does not mean that you’ve suddenly “switched camps” and become an “out there” socialist liberal. I don’t know the heart of the president, so I can only speculate regarding the motives of some of his recent decisions.

As I’ve mentioned before, I believe that his trip to China has had an impact on him. His meeting with President Xi seems to have been a catalyst for a change in his perspective. If I were to guess, I would think that the Chinese president threatened to invade Taiwan if President Trump didn’t bring a close to the war with Iran. But that is based on logic and circumstances rather than solid facts.

I also believe that money has been a factor in recent decisions, particularly Qatari money. Yesterday marked Trump’s first flight in the new $400 million Air Force One, gifted by the Qataris. Described as a “palace in the air” it is the epitome of luxury. But the plane is only the most recent and most visible outpouring of Qatari cash. American real estate, tech, and energy have all been boosted by the funds of the tiny nation. But no realm has been as affected by their money as much as the US education system, particularly in higher education. I explore the maroon taint that Qatari money has poured on American education in my upcoming book, The Elijah Mandate. The Emir of Qatar wanted an end to the war between the US and Iran, and an end is what we have.

Finally, I think that the president is feeling the pressure of the November elections. Gas prices had to be brought down. Calm needed to be restored. Already it’s evident that the US is coming into a new and crazy season. Junior “Mamdani’s” won primaries all across the land on Tuesday, including the shocking unseating of long-time, liberal Colorado congresswoman Diana DeGette by 29-year-old radical socialist Melat Kiros. As the author of The Art of the Deal, President Trump is someone who understands what must be agreed to and what must be compromised to maintain the power needed to still be able to make a difference in a hostile government. Is that what is going on?

There is one area where I am encouraged, and that is in the great work that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has put into creating an agreement between Lebanon and Israel.

The Lebanese government recognizes that it is Hezbollah and Iran that are the causes of their problems, not Israel. So, for the first time in history, Lebanon’s government has signed a paper saying that the IDF troops can remain in southern Lebanon for as long as there are any armed militias there other than the Lebanese army.

This openness to Israeli help led to the massive destruction of miles of underground tunnels last week in Majdol Zoun in southern Lebanon. These tunnels snaked under mosques and schools and homes, and contained weapons, drones, and sleeping quarters for Hezbollah terrorists. Iran sees that Israel is not holding to a ceasefire in Lebanon which may be why they attacked a few ships in the Strait of Hormuz in the last number of days.

Tunnels were also targeted in Gaza. Thirty thousand cubic meters of concrete were poured into 10 miles worth of tunnels near the Egyptian border, causing an overflow into the streets because of the many access points in homes and shops. Israel continues to make Hamas’s territory smaller and the number of breathing terrorists fewer.

One last topic to touch on is the strange, unhealthy relationship between President Trump and President Erdoğan of Turkey. Israel had a plan to topple the Iranian regime in the war, but Trump put a stop to the plan at the request of Turkey’s president. I don’t have room to do the story justice in this article, but to hear the strange details, check out my Special Update.

Major Supreme Court Rulings Offer A Mixed Bag For Common-Sense Conservatives

The Court struck a major blow against transgender madness. Unfortunately, the Court went against the will of a majority of the American people in two other cases, ruling that mail-in ballots can be counted after Election Day, and shooting down President Trump’s executive order outlawing birthright citizenship. Long term, this is a potential national security risk.

Will America Last Another 250 Years?

Looking back, there can be no denying that God has indeed shed His grace—His unmerited favor—on our land, from sea to shining sea. But does our national “soul” encourage self-control? Do our laws champion ordered liberty? Is our success tempered with nobleness? Is brotherhood the defining characteristic of any good we aspire to reflect? By all of those measures, America seems decidedly adrift. We are drifting farther and farther from Nature’s God—the Ruler of the Universe our Founders called upon and credited with for our celebrated independence.

Thomas Jefferson’s ‘Separation Of Church And State’ Never Meant Keeping God Out Of Government

In context, it’s clear this wall of separation was not created to keep religion out of the State. It was simply intended to protect religious freedom and to place boundaries on the State’s control over the Church. In fact, the United States Capitol served as a church building for seven decades and Jefferson himself was a regular attendee. He attended so faithfully that he earned a reserved seat. On the Sunday after he wrote the letter to the Danbury Baptists, he attended church services at the still-under-construction Capitol.
