A Murderer From The Beginning: Rationalizing The Taking Of Human Life Is No Longer Fringe

It was quite the spectacle. Hundreds of women marched outside a courtroom, praising a mother on trial for killing her three children—Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months. Thousands took to social media, parading the mother, Lindsay Clancy, as a new face for “women’s rights,” and millions of dollars have been given to support her.

Clancy’s defense doesn’t argue that she took the lives of her children; rather, they insist that she should not be found guilty because her struggles with “postpartum” rendered her legally insane.

The trial remains ongoing. The cocktail of 13 psychiatric medications that was prescribed to Clancy could have played a legitimate role, and if proven true, would highlight the dangers of a pharmaceutical industry that is all too willing to hand out drugs that alter people’s mental state. Others note that the killings were too methodical to have taken place in a state of delusion.

The hordes of women backing Clancy have turned the “postpartum” claim into a disturbing justification for murder. According to Decision Magazine, “a new disturbing TikTok trend has mothers posting clips of themselves holding their crying babies with the caption ‘Me too, Lindsay.’”

This story is about more than a murder trial—it is a spotlight on the inverted morality that has taken hold of a large segment of the culture, and it is far from the first.

For decades, “women’s marches” have justified the murder of children in the womb. The victims of abortion are treated as irrelevant “clumps of cells” while the mothers barrel through the streets celebrating their “right” to kill.

After Luigi Mangione assassinated UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in broad daylight, scores of people justified the murder, plastering the killer’s face on t-shirts and posterboards as a hero for the mistreated working-class.

This same group was quick to justify the murder of Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk, who they insisted deserved to die for his conservative Christian views.

For nearly three years, mass demonstrations have justified the murder of 1,200 Israelis on October 7th, celebrating the terrorists as “freedom fighters.” These protests have also routinely included the enthusiastic justification of Adolf Hitler’s murder of six million Jews, only expressing disappointment that he was unable to “finish the job.”

Rationalizing the taking of human life is no longer fringe. You would be hard-pressed to find an American who doesn’t know someone who justifies one (or all) of these murders—it is quite likely that you know many! Whether it’s abortion, euthanasia, political assassination, or antisemitic killing, the justifiers of murder (astonishingly) are adamant that their position is morally upright.

Killers are increasingly embraced, while victims are increasingly ignored or demonized. Although disturbing, the question of “why” has a Biblical answer.

When God is removed as the authority for defining good and evil in a society, Satan fills the void, using lies and manipulation to invert morality. Soon everything that God loves is scorned, and everything that Satan loves is praised—and what does Satan love more than the destruction of innocent human life?

Consider John 8:44, where Jesus tells the Pharisees plotting (and seeking to justify) His murder, “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

The Pharisees and Sadducees also presented themselves as the standard of moral uprightness, but Jesus cut through the facade, revealing the source of their deluded and wicked intent. The promised Messiah’s arrival was going to get in the way of their sinful desires and power.

Those who support the killing of the unborn want a sexual free-for-all without “consequence.” Those who supported the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s killing wanted to blame the wealthy for their economic misfortune. Those who supported the killing of Charlie Kirk hated the exposing light of common sense and Biblical truth. Those who supported the killing of Jews are driven by irrational antisemitism.

The motives of those who applaud a mother on trial for a “postpartum” driven murder may be best revealed through the “me too, Lindsey” caption spreading across social media—and it is less surprising in a selfish world, where children are viewed as a burden, and the “loss of natural affection” reigns.

At the heart of it all is the father of lies and murder—and the sins that cause individuals to repel from God’s perfect standards of love and morality.

The Dangers Of The ‘Interfaith’ Movement—And Where The Bible Says It Is Heading

Revelation 17 describes “the great prostitute” who will wreak havoc in the last days. The prostitute is the image John uses to refer to the one-world religion that will dominate the end times. Because of the imagery John uses, it’s hard to say what the false religion will teach. But it’s likely that it will combine the teachings of various major existing religions. Or that it will just gloss over the differences between religions and declare them all to be equally valid. Sound familiar?

Are BDS Laws In Western Nations Paving The Ways For State-Sponsored Antisemitism?

France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Sweden intend to impose national restrictions on trade in goods with Judea/Samaria (also known as the West Bank) and support European measures imposing such restrictions. The list will continue to grow in numbers and intensity of actions against Israel and those supporting the Jewish State. More countries will join. Until now, the boycott, divestment and sanction movement (BDS) against Israel was mostly a verbal diatribe with the occasional corporate decision to refrain from business, but in Norway it could become punishable by law to connect with Israel.

Boldly Reaching The ‘Hopeless Generation’: Charlie Kirk’s Legacy—One Year After His Death

Two months after Charlie was murdered, we went to the very campus where it happened—Utah Valley University—and held a Harvest Crusade. We saw many people—college students—give their lives to Jesus Christ. I believe this is a watershed moment—a turning point, especially for the younger generation. Young people, this is your moment. It’s time to stop trying to fit in and be cool. Instead, be bold and courageous. In fact, that may be the coolest thing you can do. Charlie was bold about his faith to the very end, and so should we be.
