President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he is dropping out of the Presidential race, weeks after his disoriented debate with Donald Trump fueled calls, including from within his own party, for him to step out of the way.
“While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interests of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term,” he said in a statement.
Shortly following his announcement, Biden threw his endorsement behind Vice President Kamala Harris to be the party’s nominee and urged Democrat donors to jump on board.
“Today, I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats โ it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this,” he wrote on X. “And if you’re with us, donate to her campaign here.”
Former President Donald Trump reacted to the news, emphasizing on Truth Social that Biden “was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve – And never was!”
“He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement,” Trump continued. “All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t – And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
While the Democrat’s nominee for President is up in the air, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stressed that “the choice facing Americans this November remains the same.”
“President Trump is the only candidate who can bring down inflation, close our open borders, and keep America safe in an increasingly dangerous world,” Pompeo noted.
Edward Graham, son of evangalist Franklin Graham and COO of Samaritan’s Purse, reacted to the President’s exit from the race, questioning Biden’s ability to carry out the remainer of his term.
“So the Democrats pressure Joe Biden to step down and not seek the nomination because they know he is not mentally and physically able to run after years of gaffs and embarrassment,” Graham wrote. “So if he can’t run… why should he be the POTUS right now? If this campaign wasn’t sustainable for him, should he be removed now? How is he fit to serve?”
Under Biden, the United States has also undermined and scolded the Jewish State during its war with the terrorist organization Hamasโa stance Robert Gottselig, Executive Director Of Friends Of Israel Gospel Ministry Canada, recently stated was nothing short of “stabbing Israel in the back.”
“The Democratsโ support for Israel has been wavering,” he wrote. “One minute, theyโre with Israel, supporting their right to defend themselves against the terrorist group Hamas, and the next minute, the Democrats under Biden are telling Israel to end the warโleaving Hamas a victory and to live another day.”
“When the US turned its back on Israel… it was certainly not the way to bring blessing upon Americaโin fact, just the opposite,” Gottselig warned. “The bottom line is this: to let Hamas live another day so this can be repeated in the future is to have no regard and no compassion for what is true, right, and justโand God is taking note.”
Biden’s administration has become known for being the most radically left in US history, moving America farther than ever before from the Judeo-Christian principles it was founded upon. Jan Markell, Founder and President of Olive Tree Ministries, in a recent article, highlighted the Biden administration’s continuous demonization of Christians and conservatives.
“We have all been sickened by what we’ve seen in the last few years. Conservatives are portrayed as deplorables,” Markell explained. “Trump himself is repeatedly compared to Hitler. Endless rhetoric portrays Christians and conservatives as the fascists from the 1930s. Pro-lifers and Republicans are mocked and vilified as dangerous. The liberal media suggests that you and I will be the end of democracy.”
House Speaker Mike Johnson released a statement reminding the American people that the same radical policies would continue full steam should VP Kamala Harris become President.
“At this unprecedented juncture in American history, we must be clear about what just happened. The Democrat Party forced the Democrat nominee off the ballot, just over 100 days before the election,” he wrote. “Having invalidated the votes of more than 14 million Americans who selected Joe Biden to be the Democrat nominee for president, the self-proclaimed โparty of democracyโ has proven exactly the opposite.”
“The partyโs prospects are no better now with Vice President Kamala Harris, who co-owns the disastrous policy failures of the Biden Administration,” he continued. “As second in command and a completely inept border czar, Harris has been a gleeful accomplice โ not only in the destruction of American sovereignty, security, and prosperity, but also in the largest political coverup in U.S. history. She has known for as long as anyone of his incapacity to serve.”
“If Joe Biden is not fit to run for President, he is not fit to serve as President. He must resign the office immediately,” he concluded. “November 5 cannot arrive soon enough.”
