The church can play a vital role in shaping moral conscience. But that role carries responsibility. Scripture should never be weaponized to shield unlawful behavior or to shame those charged with upholding the law. Pastors are free to call individuals to acts of mercy, generosity and personal sacrifice. But ministers should cautiously, honestly consider whether they are using their platform to demand that the state surrender its God-given duty to govern justly.

Many people today are honestly asking what the Bible says about being transgender. The Bible does not use the word “transgender,” but it does teach about God’s design for sex, identity, and truth. The Bible starts with creation, and creation is important to God.

The U.S. Constitution is grounded in the idea that government power must be limited and that individual rights come from God, not the state. The First Amendment protects religious liberty by forbidding the establishment of any religion while guaranteeing free exercise. Sharia law directly contradicts this principle because it is a religious legal code that merges faith and government. Where Sharia is enforced, religious belief is regulated and Islamic law is elevated above civil law. A system that mandates religious obedience cannot coexist with a Constitution that protects freedom of conscience.

Wokeness teaches that we are not responsible for our own lives. We’re born privileged or oppressed. The Bible says we are personally accountable for our sins (James 1:13-15). God created us all equal. Acts 17:26 says we are all created “of one blood.” The sin of racism requires repentance, like any other sin. Wokeness replaces repentance with reparations.

Every election season, Americans send policies to the halls of government. Voters argue about taxes, foreign policy and healthcare. Yet, beneath the noise of campaign rallies and political advertisements lies a sobering truth: The leaders we elect are mirrors of the people who put them in power. Our government, in many ways, is a spiritual reflection of our collective moral condition.

It has been said that Israel is the “time clock” of world history. Why? What about this ancient, enigmatic nation could portend the trajectory — and conclusion of — world history? Many Bible scholars consider the rebirth of Israel in 1948 as a nation as a “super sign” of the end times. Why is the return of this historic nation to its homeland so important in Bible prophecy?

It is shocking to think that, come November, the largest metropolitan economy in the world (that of metro NYC) may be in the hands of an avowed Marxist. As Zohran Mamdani inches closer to becoming Mayor of New York, it is equally troubling to view Democratic Party leaders doubling down on their conviction that socialism should be the goal for America’s future. Americans, again subjected to the Democrats’ sales pitches for socialism, should know the facts.

If a doctor fails to follow their own advice, does that mean medicine doesn’t work? Of course not. In the same way, the failures of Christians don’t disprove the truth of Christianity.  The standard of our faith is not the behavior of its followers—it’s the person of Jesus Christ. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again. He is the foundation of our faith—not our performance.

Among the many objections to Christianity, one of the most unfounded is this: “Jesus was just a man.” Some see Him as a wise teacher, a moral leader, or even a revolutionary—but nothing more. The idea that Jesus was divine, the Son of God, is often dismissed as a later invention by the early church. But is that what the evidence really shows?

The Gospel of salvation through Christ is endlessly fascinating, I believe, because it is profound and simple.  The brightest scholars exhaust their stock of adjectives in attempting to depict it, yet a child may understand the love of Jesus, too.

By now, it is well known that Disney’s recent “Snow White” reboot will go down as one of Hollywood’s biggest money losers ever. With a budget rumored to be about $350-400 million, and with the most optimistic revenue projections expected to clock in at no more than $295 million, Disney’s financial loss will be huge.  Forget rewriting classic fairy tales — what most needs a revamp is the philosophy driving such projects.

Because there is a universal witness of God written on every heart, Romans 1:20 contains some sobering words: “They are without excuse.” Before the Almighty, we are accountable. Perhaps this accountability to God—and not just to ourselves—is why many in our culture wish there were no natural moral law. This is certainly what John 3:19 indicates: “Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”

A new group, Evangelicals for Harris, wants you to think she, and not Trump, is like Billy Graham. It’s easy to cobble together a 10-second soundbite and assign Billy Graham an opinion after he’s dead. To believe that 10 seconds requires you to disregard 99 years of his words and deeds.

The goal of this group seems to be killing as many babies as possible. What if their philosophy were applied to other areas where things I don’t want to deal with are realities? Can we just kill our way out of inconvenience, stress, or expense? If it applies to the pre-born, why not everyone?

Some people — even self-proclaimed Christians — today have one basic belief about the Bible — that it shouldn’t be believed! However, prior to the late 20th century, virtually all people who claimed to be Christians understood Scripture to be inspired and preserved. The Bible is supposed to judge us, but some people would like to judge the Bible instead. 

The ideas of socialism have been planted into the consciousness of many Americans — even some Christians.  Shocking numbers of young adults now indicate a favorable view of Marxist ideas. The dehumanizing, false promises of Marxist economics must not go unchallenged. 

Spiritual leadership eventually influences and affects the next generation, either for God and biblical values or against them. Because so much is at stake, Christians must take care to not sit under woke, or spiritually wishy-washy church leaders and teaching. Parents must not trust their families to those who do not hold a biblical worldview.

Jesus calls His followers to be “salt and light,” a teaching that includes our voting. How can we authentically claim to live fully for God yet neglect to represent His values? Shouldn’t we care who leads our school board, our state and who represents us in Congress?

What is tolerance? The way the world imposes and enforces it, tolerance is a fabricated counterfeit of Christian love and genuine human compassion. Instead of, “Let me help lift you out of your mess,” tolerance says, “I support your right to live as a disaster.”
