A well-known evolutionist website is accusing the trusted Christian apologetics ministry, Answers In Genesis (AiG), and its Founder and CEO, Ken Ham, of producing counterfeit British currency and planning to disrupt King Charles III’s coronation this upcoming May.
AiG, in partnership with its sister ministry in the UK and Living Waters, recently announced plans to use the coronation of King Charles as an opportunity to reach more people with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. While millions gather to celebrate, AiG’s “Operation London” will hand out to the masses of people an exclusive track and Gospel message with the appearance of a Million Pound note.
On the back of the “Bank of Eternity” bill, individuals in attendance will be introduced to another king, the King of Kings, Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 6:15, Revelation 1:5, 19:11-16). The back of the million-pound bill, which also clarifies itself not to be legal tender, reads in part:
During the coronation, King Charles honours the Bible—in which God promised to destroy death. To Understand how He destroyed death, answer these questions: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterer at heart, and He will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But He is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law, but here’s the Gospel (good news)—Jesus paid their fine. This means their case can be dismissed: “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life. Then read your Bible and obey it. God will never fail you.
“Ken Ham and his fellow creationist grifters plan to disrupt King Charles’s Coronation by handing out religious tracts disguised as money,” Dan Phelps, writing on the evolutionist website, accused. “They are raising money to print and distribute 3 million counterfeit ‘1 Million Pound’ notes that will display fundamentalist/creationist tracts on the reverse side. They are shamelessly raising money to do this.”
Phelps, who resides in Kentucky and routinely derides Answers in Genesis and the Ark Encounter located in the same state, added, “I wonder if the British Secret Service will also be amused.”
Founder and CEO of Living Waters, Ray Comfort, responded to the false accusation by reiterating the pronounced differences between the bill and British currency.
“There is one similarity with the bills: there’s a face on both! But that’s where it ends. Ours doesn’t say the Bank of England. It says Bank of Eternity. Nor did we use the word ‘pound,’” Comfort underscored. “It also says: ‘THIS IS NOT LEGAL TENDER,’ and has a 183-word gospel message on the back.”
“This is all symbolic of the coming of another King,” Comfort stressed.
“We are also giving away, free of charge, 100,000 copies of a 100-plus page book, called ‘Defender of the Faith.’ The publication explains the amazing symbolism behind the coronation,” Comfort stated.
Ken Ham further explained the witnessing opportunity the coronation presents.
“When you think about it, this coronation is an atheist’s nightmare,” Ham noted. “Charles will lay his hand on the Bible and vow to uphold its truths. Among other things, he will be given three swords. One is blunt and two are sharp. The blunt one is symbolic of the mercy of God.”
“Charles will carry an ‘orb.’ This is a ball with a cross on the top, symbolic of the reign of Jesus Christ over the whole of the earth–and that includes reigning over atheists. Billions of people are going to see and hear these things,” Ham highlighted. “And we will be there to help them understand the symbolism and tell them the good news that in the Old Testament, God promised to destroy death and in the New Testament we are told how He did it.”
According to a Press Release, within the first two days of Operation London being announced, one thousand Christians signed up to take part in this mission to share the Gospel.
In previous comments on social media, Ken Ham cautioned the importance of not letting atheist groups intimidate and bully Christians into silence. While they claim to be ambassadors for neutrality and tolerance, Ham emphasized that they are “fervent for their religion of atheism.”
These groups, Ham explained, “are totally intolerant of those who hold views different to their own. This bullying by atheist groups & others has been undermining the freedom of religion and the free exercise of particularly Christianity in America and the entire Western world.”
