Walking Away From The Trap Of Narcissism

The culture has had much success in infiltrating people’s minds by centering thoughts on themselves. The Bible is filled with testimonies of those who, by God’s grace, were victorious over Satan’s power. No one is beyond the reach of God.

Hebrews 11 is often referred to as one of the Bible’s great chapters. Some call it “The Bible’s Hall of Fame.” Noah and Abraham come to mind from the Old Testament. Only Noah and his family survived the great flood. Abraham was brought into an unknown land and became the father to many nations by the power of God. These men were faithful to God through obedience, and they had faith in Almighty God.

The Apostle Paul was nearly shipwrecked, stoned and left for dead, but the Lord raised him up. The Apostle Peter, imprisoned for preaching the Gospel, was rescued by an angel. His chains fell off and an angel escorted him out of prison. Peter remembered how Jesus saved him from being buried at sea when he took his eyes off the Lord on that miracle walk on the water.

Why did these men remain faithful? Because their faith was in God and His promises—not in their feelings or accomplishments. If our faith is merely built on our feelings, we will also sink. “If anyone thinks himself to be something … he deceives himself” (Galatians 6:3).

Chilling Ramifications: Finnish Supreme Court Finds Christian Parliamentarian Guilty Of ‘Hate Speech’

“I am taking legal advice on a possible appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. This is not about my free speech alone, but that of every person in Finland. A positive ruling would help to prevent other innocent people from experiencing the same ordeal for simply sharing their beliefs,” added Räsänen.

Public Square Pariahs: Why Christians Face Unique Backlash In Modern Culture

Publicly advocating for a soup kitchen and publicly advocating for the protection of life in the womb are both outworkings of a biblical worldview. But there’s a major difference in how those two actions are perceived by culture. As Christians, therefore, we aren’t resented for everything we believe and do, but because we’re reviled for opposing some of the values most cherished by culture, we’re increasingly hated as a group.

Jan Markell: The Last 100 Years Of Falling For Leftists Has Prepared The Jewish People For Great Deception

More than once, I have written about the mystery of Jews who seem to support their own demise by voting with, and standing by, those who hate them. Many Jews voted for two anti-Semites – Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama. No two U.S. Presidents did more damage to Israel than these men – yet they got the Jewish vote by and large. I have watched my own Jewish family members who are unbelievers vote Democrat repeatedly and have no explanation for it.
