Islam Rising In The West: Ramadan 2026 Provided A Very Revealing Glimpse Of Where America Is Heading

Islam’s rise in the West didn’t happen overnight. It’s been a gradual process over decades that has brought us to where we are right now.

I bring you Ramadan 2026. The Islamic holy month just wrapped up, and it gave a very revealing glimpse of where we’re heading in America if we do not change course.

Let’s start with New York City. Since January, America’s largest city and financial capital has been run by an Islamo-Communist named Zohran Mamdani. He is an anti-Israel ideologue who has long had ties to notorious radical Islamists, and as mayor, he is wasting no time in showing who he is and what he represents.

“Many ask me what it means to be the first Muslim mayor of our city,” Mamdani stated. “And in that question, there is an assumption that I am introducing our faith to the city as a whole. When in reality, our faith has been a part of this city for generations. The question of whether it’s been seen is another matter entirely. But Muslims and New York City, they are intertwined.”

Islam and NYC “intertwined?” They sure are—including in the memories of 9-11 survivors or those who lost loved ones in the Twin Towers that day. Of course, if you mention that to Mamdani, he will probably just smile and talk about “tolerance.”

Ramadan was his coming-out party. In early March, Mamdani responded to an attempted ISIS terror attack against protesters in front of his residence by first condemning the protesters and decrying “white supremacy.” He vaguely added that there is “no place for violence” in New York City, while never once mentioning Islam or ISIS.

It only got worse from there.

A few days later, Mamdani hosted a taxpayer-funded Ramadan Iftar dinner at City Hall, where one of the attendees, a guest of the mayor, held up the ISIS one-finger salute—but I’m sure he was just being playful!

Imagine if a devoutly Christian mayor held a Christmas or Easter service at New York City Hall. The left and their mainstream media minions would be howling about the separation of church and state. But when it comes to mosque and state, it’s apparently a different story.

Last week, Mamdani led a large crowd in Ramadan prayers in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Did you ever imagine 25 years ago, as the remains of the Twin Towers were still smoldering after Islamic jihadists carried out the worst terror attack in American history, that you would see a mayor of New York City leading an Islamic prayer event? Or how about lighting Eid Mubarak lights for Ramadan?

Mamdani wasn’t the only Democrat politician to publicly observe Ramadan. New Jersey Governor Mikey Shirell donned a Muslim hijab as she visited a mosque. The Democrat mayors of Salt Lake City and Miami-Dade County proudly wore the same Islamic head covering as they met with local Muslim leaders.

Make no mistake, the left is all in on Islam, and they are going to continue to push it. Why? Because it’s not biblical and it’s not Western.

The left in Europe has used the same model. Mass Muslim migration, both legal and illegal, followed by rapid mosque building and enclaves where non-Muslims are rarely seen. The process was also gradual in Europe. Now, London’s Muslim mayor, Sadiq Khan, is leading Ramadan prayers in historic Trafalgar Square.

New York City and London, the world’s two financial capitals and arguably the two greatest cities of Western civilization, are now governed by Muslims who promote socialist economic policies. And we are supposed to believe that this is all just a coincidence and not a larger strategy to undermine the Judeo-Christian West and our way of life?

A Milestone Marked With An Important Acknowledgment: The Need For God Is Woven Into The Fabric Of America

“In this moment,” she said, “I don’t want it to be lost on us what is going on here: that we have a president, and a staff surrounding him, that saw the importance and the need to call [on] God. Because for 250 years this nation has returned again and again to the God who created this beautiful country that we get to call home. We do this not because we’re perfect people; we’re not. But woven into the fabric of America is a deep and persistent belief that we cannot persevere on our own—that we need God.”

A False Hope: Billionaire ‘Biohacker’ Who Sought To Use Technology And Experimentation To Live To 160 Diagnosed With Autoimmune Disease

Johnson’s diagnosis is a sad reminder that we live in a fallen world. No amount of biohacking and optimizing health will save you from death: “It is appointed for men to die once” (Hebrews 9:27). Because all have sinned, God’s judgment of death is coming to all of us sooner or later. And we live in a fallen world—our world groans and our bodies groan. We can make choices that will likely keep us healthy longer or improve our quality of life, but we can’t ultimately protect ourselves from all suffering. This world is fallen; it’s not getting better—it’s been getting worse for 6,000 years!

Will America Last Another 250 Years?

Looking back, there can be no denying that God has indeed shed His grace—His unmerited favor—on our land, from sea to shining sea. But does our national “soul” encourage self-control? Do our laws champion ordered liberty? Is our success tempered with nobleness? Is brotherhood the defining characteristic of any good we aspire to reflect? By all of those measures, America seems decidedly adrift. We are drifting farther and farther from Nature’s God—the Ruler of the Universe our Founders called upon and credited with for our celebrated independence.
