UN Passes Resolution Pushing Israel To Dispose Of Its Nuclear Weapons For Sake Of ‘Peace And Security’

Even though Israel has never disclosed its nuclear inventory, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) voted that the Jewish state should dispose of whatever nuclear weapons it has.

While the Islamic Republic of Iran maintains its consistent streak of violations regarding the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), including deception regarding its nuclear facilities, the UNGA targeted Israelโ€™s nuclear program on Friday. The vote overwhelmingly went against Israel with a 152-5 turnout, motioning that Israel should dispose of all of its nuclear weapons and hand over its nuclear sites to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The resolution called on Israel โ€œto accede to the Treaty without further delay, not to develop, produce, test or otherwise acquire nuclear weapons, to renounce possession of nuclear weapons and to place all its unsafe guarded nuclear facilities under the full scope of Agency safeguards as an important confidence-building measure among all States of the region and as a step toward enhancing peace and security.โ€

A couple of dozen European countries abstained from the vote, while Canada, Israel, Micronesia, Palau, and the United States voted against the resolution. While thought to be one of the few countries with nuclear weapons, Israel has never confirmed one way or another.

HD Editor’s Note: Why Is This News Biblically Relevant?

“The move was as laughable as it was hypocritical, without a word being said about Iranโ€™s race toward nuclear weaponry,” Amir Tsarfati, the Founder and President of Behold Israel, underscored in a recent article.

The United Nations has been less than shy about the bias against Israel. From 2012-2020 the UN condemned Israel a total of 180 times, in contrast to 45 times for all other nations combined.

The particular words of this resolution should also perk the ears of those familiar with Bible Prophecy. To most people, the mention of “peace and security” or “peace and safety” sounds rather benign, however, to students of Bible prophecy those words carry special significance.

In the apostle Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonian church, he writes:

1 Thess. 5:1-3 KJV – “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

‘We Are Legion’: Candace Owens And Her Audience Are Brazenly Giving Heed To The Doctrine Of Demons

There is tremendous online chatter spreading today that must be answered from an evangelical perspective. Self-proclaimed "Christians" who are, at best, confused theologically are spreading conspiracies, lies, rumors, and frankly tall tales. The sad thing is that these purveyors of confusion have influence, and their nonsense is paying off. Upon further examination, it becomes clear that these individualsโ€”far from holding to Biblical truthโ€”are giving heed to the demonic.

Devastating Consequences: ‘DEI’ Is Regressive, Demoralizing, Andโ€”Letโ€™s Just Say Itโ€”Racist

There is a dark irony in the whispered joke that DEI means โ€œDidnโ€™t Earn It.โ€ Most diversity advocates vehemently reject that characterization. But institutions should understand why such cynicism has gained traction. When race, victimhood or representation outweigh measurable achievement, people naturally begin wondering whether standards have been lowered. DEI is regressive, demeaningly assumptive, demoralizing, and (letโ€™s just say it), racist.

โ€˜A Firm Reliance On The Protection Of Divine Providenceโ€™: Finding The Way Back As One Nation Under God

It is no secret that America has largely turned its back on God. Children are encouraged to find their own truth from a young age, and mentions of God in our public schools are brushed aside or removed. Church attendance is rapidly declining as self-help strategies promise the answers to lifeโ€™s problems. Weโ€™ve traded Divine guidance for subjective truthโ€”โ€œitโ€™s up to me decide what is right and wrong.โ€ And even the concept of biological sex and gender is up to the preference of each individual. It is clear that secularism has infiltrated every aspect of society, and the results are catastrophic. The further we stray from God, the deeper we sink into hopelessness.
