As the deadly flooding in the South African Province of KwaZulu-Natal has killed at least 448, the country’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa, propagated the claim that the disaster has occurred as a result of so-called ‘climate change.’

Ramaphosa, who referred to the flooding as “a catastrophe of enormous proportions,” told the region’s residents, who have a 35% unemployment rate, that the flooding was proof that the government could no longer put off investing in combating ‘climate change.’

“This disaster is part of climate change. It is telling us that climate change is serious; it is here,” he claimed while visiting affected areas last week. “We no longer can postpone what we need to do and the measures we need to take to deal with climate change.”

An estimated $684.6 million dollars in damages have resulted from the flooding and subsequent mudslides, including the destruction of 4,000 homes. In addition, the military has deployed 10,000 to aid in search and rescue efforts, as well as help in other efforts to rebuild and deliver supplies to citizens.

Durban, whose port is the largest shipping terminal in sub-Saharan Africa, was the hardest-hit city by the water damage.

In a televised address on Monday, President Ramaphosa reiterated his assertion that the tragedy should be directly attributed to the “climate crisis” and that new eco-investments by the poverty-stricken country must be made.

“These floods are a tragic reminder of the increasing frequency of extreme weather conditions as a result of climate change,” he stated. “We need to increase our investment in climate adaptation measures to better safeguard communities against the effects of climate change.”

Many world leaders have demonstrated their willingness to place cooperation with globalist agendas ahead of the needs and best interests of their citizens. The “climate crisis” has proven itself to be a favorite narrative amoung the elite.

“While these will be off-the-chart in the Tribulation, we see a foretaste of them now in the Church Age,” she explained. “The world is suggesting that only a mother-earth type worship system will fix these natural calamities as they refuse to recognize them as the hand of God. They are a stunning herald of Christ’s soon return.”
