Protesters, dressed in black, delivered an ominous warning to Bryan Steil’s home the other day. Mr. Steil is a Republican congressman from Wisconsin.
More than two dozen far-left protesters showed up at his house with a coffin. They staged a fake funeral procession and propped up the coffin on his front door. There was an epitaph attached: “Here lie the hopes of the most vulnerable killed by the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ signed into law by President Donald J. Trump and endorsed by lyin’ Bryan Steil. RIP democracy 1776-2025.”
Among those in attendance the past chairwoman of the Walworth County Democrat Party, according to Fox News.
“It’s disappointing that Democrat leadership and the radical left resort to these type of tactics,” the congressman said in an exclusive statement to Fox. “I remain committed to my work to get this country back on track and will not be deterred by their threats.”
The event sponsored by the Southern Wisconsin Grassroots Network and the Working Families Party.
Congressman Steil should take the attack on his home seriously – and that’s what it was – a political attack. Those responsible should be arrested and at the very least charged with trespassing.
Threats against members of Congress have increased more than 93 percent since last year – that’s according to the U.S. Capitol Police. And let’s not forget that President Trump was the victim of not one, but two, assassination attempts.
The violent rhetoric spewing from Democrat Party leaders has created a toxic environment in this nation – and downright dangerous. Everyone involved should be arrested and face the strongest penalties the law allows. The Democrats call what happened to Congressman Steil “good trouble.” But I contend the Democrats are nothing but trouble.
