Trump Signing ‘Born Alive’ Executive Order Protecting Abortion Survivors

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday he is signing an executive order to ensure babies who survive botched abortions receive medical care.

The president shared news of his decision during a pre-recorded, virtual appearance at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast.

“Today, I am announcing that I will be signing the born alive executive order to assure that all precious babies born alive, no matter their circumstances, receive the medical care that they deserve,” said Trump. “This is our sacrosanct moral duty.”

He revealed, too, his administration is increasing federal funding for neonatal research.

Though the full text of Trump’s executive order has not yet been released, it’s worth noting the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act has been introduced in Congress several times. The bill, however, has never become law.

The proposed law would require babies born alive after failed abortions to be given the same medical treatment had they been born prematurely under different circumstances.

Jeanne Mancini, president of the pro-life March for Life, praised the president in a statement obtained by Faithwire Wednesday afternoon.

“President Trump once again has stepped up for life,” she said. “His actions today provide necessary legal protections for some of the most vulnerable in society: survivors of failed abortions. These steps had to be taken because some Democrats in the Senate promised to block legislation that mandates basic medical care for children who survive an abortion — an extremist view shared by vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris.”

“While any abortion is one too many,” she continued, “the reality is that Americans overwhelmingly want to see greater protections for the most vulnerable. These protections are a strong step in the right direction and the Senate should move quickly to codify the president’s executive order and pass Sen. Ben Sasse’s (R-Neb.) Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.”

While federal lawmakers have failed to take action to protect those who survive abortions, several states around the country have passed their own versions of the bill.

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D), however, seemingly indicated in early 2019 that he supports post-birth infanticide.

In January 2019, Democrats in the commonwealth presented legislation that would codify abortion access up until the point of birth. One Virginia lawmaker, Kathy Tran, said the bill would even allow a woman already in labor to terminate her pregnancy.

Northam, who is a doctor, not only endorsed the bill but said Tran’s comments were “really blown out of proportion.” In making his case, the governor proceeded to put forward an incredibly troubling scenario, apparently in support of post-birth infanticide.

“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he said. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

The Democratic politician’s remarks were condemned at the time as “horrifying,” “sick,” and “ghoulish.”

HD Editors Note: What Does This Have To Do With Bible Prophecy?

In 2 Timothy Chapter 3, the apostle Paul describes to us what the character of mankind would be like in the last days. These characteristics would serve as a sign that Jesus’ return is fast approaching. Among this list is a “Loss of Natural Affection”:

2 Timothy 3:1-4 KJV – “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.”

Ken Ham in his article reporting “94% of Doctors in Belgium Support Killing a Newborn with a Disability” discussed that our growingly secular society has truly become the culture of death:

As shocking and horrifying as this may seem, it is the next logical step in a secular society that increasingly devalues life—with man acting as his own god (the temptation the devil gave in Genesis 3:5). After all, what is the difference between a baby in the womb and one that was just passed through the birth canal? Nothing, except location. If you can kill a baby in the womb moments before birth (as many people including prominent politicians support, particularly if that baby has a disability), why allow that child to live after it has exited the womb? There is no difference in their minds. These doctors are just taking their worldview (a worldview of death!) to its logical conclusion. And why stop at a newborn? Why not a toddler, a teenager, or an adult? (And we’ve already seen this with cases regarding euthanasia in Europe.) It’s truly a culture of death!

Terry James in his article, “Evil When Not Constrained” explained how our generation, instead of cherishing its children, has sacrificed them to the ‘god of convenience’ through abortion:

The Democrat party, as a whole, supports this as a political platform item. The children can, therefore, be sacrificed to the god of convenience–abortion after the fact of sexual activity—although those advocating for abortion always use the lie that this heinous murder of babies must be allowed for the health, either physical or psychological, and well-being of the woman. The woman, not the God of Heaven, has the right to choose.

Supposedly the most civilized of the civilized societies and cultures to have yet existed on planet earth–the United States of America–allows this atrocity to continue. It is nothing less than sacrifice to the god of this world–Satan. It is a form of spiritual insanity –reprobate mindset–to continue in this orgy of self-serving infanticide.

‘No Israel’ Without Trump?: Mr. President, God Isn’t Looking For A Partner To Share His Glory

“Tell you what, if there wasn't me, there would be no Israel right now”… Those were the words of President Trump in an interview on Wednesday. Very respectfully, I want to say to the President of the United States: Mr. Trump, you're wrong. Trump has been the best friend that Israel has ever had in the White House—and I say that with no asterisk. But Israel doesn't exist because of any man.

Shifting Public Opinion: The Appeal Of Pride Month Appears To Be Fading

For years, June brought a predictable wave of corporate logos, advertising campaigns, themed merchandise, and public celebrations. Parents learned to pay closer attention to commercials in family programming, sports fans grew accustomed to Pride-themed uniforms and promotions, and many city streets became venues for often indecent displays at Pride parades. This year is noticeably different. The symbols are not gone, but they are far less prominent. It’s premature to say Pride has fallen, but it is fair to say the appeal of Pride Month has faded.

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back “not for your sake but for my holy name’s sake,” because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
