For a while now, Israel and the Jewish people have been caught in a vise that is increasingly threatening their very existence. That vise is known as the red/green axis. Red being the ever-growing Marxist radical left (Communism on steroids), and Green being radical Islam (Sharia Law). Zohran Mamdani embodies the Red/Green axis all in one person. How such a person can exist, combining two opposite sides of an ideological spectrum, remains a mystery to me. It is highly irrational.
This has all the signs of America being destroyed from within! There is a quote attributed to Abraham Lincoln that says,ย “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we lose our freedoms it will be because we have destroyed ourselves from within.” While those were not the exact words he uttered, the quote can be thematically connected to Lincoln’s 1838 speech in Springfield Illinois, at the Young Men Lyceum,ย “At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.”ย The point is clear, America’s demise will most likely come from within, and Zohran Mamdani might be the first major step toward that!
Yet, there is a greater danger coming from Mamdani’s policies, and that is his utter disdain for Israel and the Jewish people. How 20-30% of New York Jews would vote for him in the primaries is so irrational. It is evident that Israel and Jewish customs and traditions are playing a very small role, if any, in the fabric of modern American Jewry. They have been slowly replaced by social justice, multiculturalism, and tolerance. The erosion of Jewish loyalty has created a vacuum that people like Mamdani will fill in a heartbeat.
To be sure, when I speak of “Jewish loyalty,” I do not imply that American Jews should pledge allegiance to Israel first or worse…Israel only. Yet, as Jews in America, we cannot ignore our deep connection to our people globally and to our biblical, historical, and political homeland, Eretz Yisrael. It is absolutely fine to uphold Israelโwithout blindly agreeing with every move that the Israeli government makesโ and be an American patriot. Those among our people who disagree with that notion probably voted for Zohran Mamdani. They will soon pay a high price if he gets his agenda implemented. Will it be too late for them?
A couple of days before Mamdani won the NY mayoral elections, aย memo from his party, the Democratic Socialists of America, was leaked. In that memo, many demands were listed that have a direct effect on the Jewish people and Israel. Nine of the twelve points are a direct hit on Jews:
โข Divest City pension funds from Israeli bonds and securities
โข Withdraw City funds from banks that lend money to Israel or do business in Israel
โข End City contracts with companies that do business with Israel
โข Operate City-run grocery stores free from Israeli products
โข Investigate real estate agents hosting illegal sales of stolen lands in the West Bank
โข Remove non-profit status from charities that raise funds for IDF
โข Divest CUNY endowment and reinstate wrongly fired professors
โข End NYPD training with IOF
โข Arrest Netanyahu and active IDF soldiers for war crimes
There are items on that list that Mamdani has no authority to implement as a mayor. He would need the backing of the New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who hasย both praised Mamdani’s victory and opposedย some of his Marxist ideas. Mamdani doesn’t have the authority to remove 501(c)3 status from non-profit organizations, but this shows his mindset with absolutely no ambiguityโhe hates Israel!
The rest of his leaked agenda reinforces the fact that he wants to cripple Israel in so many ways. He has also declared multiple times that he would ask the NYPD to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu if he came to New York, something he also doesn’t have the legal grounds to do. Yet, to him, it feels good to say it, and he will probably try anyway, as it lines up with the politically correct social justice agenda that he adheres to.
Mamdani is the poster child for end-times antisemitism becoming mainstream. If we don’t say or do anything, before we know it, antisemitism could become “state antisemitism.” The last time an “elected” official was allowed to expand his destructive agenda, was during Nazi Germany, and it cost the lives of twelve million people, six million of them being Jewishโone of them being my maternal grandfather.
Does this line-up with Bible prophecy? It certainly does, directly and indirectly.
Directly, based on Zechariah 12:3: “But it will be in that day,ย thatย I will make Jerusalem a heavyย stone for all the peoples; all who heave it up will beย severelyย injured. And all theย nations of the earth will be gathered against it.”
We are at a crossroads for humanity as the whole planet is increasingly turning against Israel. A 2025 ADL survey found thatย 46% of all adults in the world harbor some sort of anti-Jewish sentiment. That is the halfway point for the fulfillment of Zechariah 12:3. We have probably passed 50% by now.
Indirectly, as seen in Ezekiel 36:24: “And I willย take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land…”
This passage of Scripture is referring to the return of the Jewish people from the global diaspora, which started in the late 1800s with a series ofย aliyahsย (returns), and continues to this day. This global surge of Judeophobia to such unbearable levels might have a part to play in the return of the Jews to Israel to escape antisemitism. I am not saying that God isย causingย antisemitism, because that would go against His character (Genesis 12:3; Psalm 83:5; Jeremiah 31:35-37), but it is very possible that He isย allowingย it to happen to lead Jews back to the homeland in the end times.
Mamdani’s victory is frustrating and concerning to most people. This should also be scary to those who do not have the hope we have as followers of Yeshuaโas we are forgiven by grace through the shedding of his blood and resurrection, for our sins. To those without Yeshua, simply believe and invite Him into your life today. To the rest of us believers, as crazy as this world is quickly becoming, and as irrational and evil a man like Mamdani might be, this should strengthen our faith, because there is nothing in what is currently happening that isn’t part of God’s master plan, and nothing is catching Him by surprise. The stage is set for God’s final act revolving around Israel and the Jewish people.
There will be more Mamdanis sooner than we think, and both the Red agenda of Marxism and the Green agenda of Sharia law will work in concert to push Americans aside or into submission as dhimmis (subjects to Islam). When it comes to our rights and our freedoms, this is known as the “Salami Effect” where you cut a thin slice at a time, so that nobody notices anything, until of course, the whole salami is gone! It’s not too late to stop this if we are vocal and active against it. Our response must be biblical but firm!
