When we hear statements such as “Let’s turn ICE detention centers into prisons for American Zionists,” and a “Castration center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists,” from Texas Democratic candidate Maureen Galindo, or even claims that “Israeli police dogs are being coached to rape prisoners” from New York Times writer Nicholas Kristof, we should cringe. Many people will react by saying that such tirades are simply insane, but please don’t. Insanity exonerates responsibility. Hitler was not insane. On the contrary, he was rather smart, but he was utterly evil! These new antisemites are equally evil.
There seems to be absolutely no limits to the creativity used to demonize Israel and the Jewish people. What is even more concerning is the number of people who actually buy those lies as truth. It is helpful to understand the real source of all this toxic rhetoric if we want to expose and oppose antisemitism.
In a nutshell, the poison comes from the father of lies (John 8:44), the masquerader as an “angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14), Satan himself. So, what is driving Satan to work overtime on demonizing the Jews and delegitimizing Israel in the eyes of the world? It is all in our Bible and should be a major wake-up call for Christians. Now is not the time to become a bystander.
We know from our Bible that God’s Holy Spirit indwells believers at the time of salvation and that an evil spirit cannot co-exist with the Holy Spirit in us. So, in brief, believers cannot be demon-possessedโperiod. This being said, they can be demon-oppressed or even demon-influenced, and that is where Satan is concentrating a lot of his efforts. There is no greater target for Satan than a believer who chooses to bless Israel and love the Jewish people, because that goes directly against every fiber of his being. Additionally, as long as the Jewish people remain the chosen people of God, they will also remain the chosen target of Satan.
His ultimate goal is to destroy Israel and the Jews; that, of course, is impossible by God’s decree (Jeremiah 31:35-37), but he will keep trying. On top of his list is stopping the Messiah from appearing on the world scene. He tried to prevent His first coming by attempting to corrupt the human race (Genesis 6) through whom Yeshua (Jesus) would come. It failed! He tried tempting Yeshua in the wilderness at the start of His public ministry (Luke 4:1-13). It failed! Yeshua was born to die for the sins of the world. He came, He suffered, died, and rose again (Isaiah 52:13-53:12). His death was not a failure, but the ultimate victory because of His resurrection.
Now, as we await the Second Coming of Yeshua, Satan believes that he’s got one more chance at preventing it and time is quickly running out. Desperate measures for desperate times indeed. Satan knows that the Jewish people are closely involved in the Second Coming (Zechariah 12:10, Romans 11:26). He knows that Yeshua promised to return when Israel proclaims corporately “Baruch Haba Bashem Adonai,” as we see in Matthew 23:38-39: “Behold, your house is being left to you desolate! For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, โBlessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”
Satan also knows that the minute Israel recognizes Yeshua as the long-awaited Jewish Messiah, he is fired! That will ultimatley send him to the lake of fire, “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” (Revelation 20:10). You can be sure that he will get very creative in order to avoid his final destination if he could, but that too will fail.
When Mrs. Maureen Galindo declares that all American Zionists should be put in prison and castrated, she is no different than Hitler and the Nazi regime, who put all Jews in ghettos and then in camps to eventually murder 6,000,000. When Mr. Kristof writes that IDF soldiers are training dogs to rape Palestinians, he is reviving the medieval blood libels with a different twist. Nobody in their right mind should believe or support these people, and yet, they get traction. That is due to Satan having the uncanny ability to make the irrational look and sound rational. There is no other explanation for such ludicrous statements.
Far-fetched lies about Israel and the Jews have reached the rest of the planet on October 8, 2023. The day after the Hamas massacre of 1200 Israelis, even before Israel responded to defend herself, the worldโor most of it at leastโturned on the Jews. It’s open season, and it will be until Yeshua returns after the Tribulation. By the kind of accusations we are witnessing, anything goes as long as it can further ostracize the Jews and help get rid of them.
Satan is really putting a demonic squeeze on Israel, global Jews, and even those who love and openly support Israel. Choices need to be made because the Church is being tested right now, and God is sifting through. Who will be on God’s side and ready to rescue the Jews?
