Overcoming And Escaping The Devil’s Temptation

Psalm 119:11 KJV – “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

When temptations come, let me suggest that you ask God for strength—and also to show you the way He has prepared for your escape.

One other word of counsel; be very sure that you do not deliberately place yourself in a position to be tempted. All of us are not subjected to the same weaknesses and temptations. To one, alcohol may be the temptation; to another, it may be impure thoughts and acts; to another, greed and covetousness; to another, criticism and an unloving attitude.

Regardless of what it may be, be sure that Satan will tempt you at your weak point, not the strong.

Our Lord has given us an example of how to overcome the devil’s temptations. When He was tempted in the wilderness, He defeated Satan every time by the use of the Bible.

Matthew 4:1-11 KJV – “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.”

Facts Don’t Matter To The Iranian Regime’s Cheerleaders In The Mainstream Media

If you have been listening to the mainstream media these past few months, you may believe that the United States has lost the war in Iran and that Iran's regime has never been stronger or more emboldened. As a great man once said, “facts are a stubborn thing.” The fact is, ever since the U.S. launched Operation Epic Fury some six months ago, Iran's regime has seen its military and nuclear program completely decimated, and most of its top leaders killed. That was just for starters.

Rescued US Airman Describes His Reliance On Prayer Hiding In The Mountains Of Iran: ‘Faith Is The Backstop Of All My Actions’

“Lord, your will be done,” he said. “But if I’m getting through this, I need help.” Bravo hit the ground at a speed of between 70 and 100 miles per hour. The impact broke his back, arm and shoulder and caused a sprained ankle and injuries to his head and face. It had been previously reported that despite those injuries, the airman had managed to evade being captured and somehow climbed 7,000 feet in the Zagros Mountains of western Iran and found a concealed crevice where he could hide.

Boldly Reaching The ‘Hopeless Generation’: Charlie Kirk’s Legacy—One Year After His Death

Two months after Charlie was murdered, we went to the very campus where it happened—Utah Valley University—and held a Harvest Crusade. We saw many people—college students—give their lives to Jesus Christ. I believe this is a watershed moment—a turning point, especially for the younger generation. Young people, this is your moment. It’s time to stop trying to fit in and be cool. Instead, be bold and courageous. In fact, that may be the coolest thing you can do. Charlie was bold about his faith to the very end, and so should we be.
