Franklin Graham Rebukes Media for Criticizing Trump’s Upcoming West Point Speech

Franklin Graham took to Facebook following unsubstantiated claims from Liberal Media that President Donald Trump’s upcoming commencement speech at Westpoint is self-serving and a danger to those graduating. Rev. Graham explaining, ‘there’s nothing he can do that is right in their eyes’:

Trump

Give me a break. Now the President’s enemies are after him for speaking to the cadets at West Point! President Trump is scheduled to be the commencement speaker at West Point in June. They say he wants to glorify himself and not the military.

The media looks for every opportunity to bash our president—there’s nothing he can do that is right in their eyes. Every president speaks at the military service academies—this is a tradition. President Donald J. Trump supports our military and has given them the tools they need to get the job done.

Some are also saying this could be dangerous for the health of the cadets. As the Secretary of the Army pointed out, these cadets would need to return to West Point anyway to retrieve their belongings, get their medical screenings, and complete their administrative tasks in order to be processed as commissioned officers in the U.S. Army. West Point knows how to take precautions for the protection of its graduates.

God bless these young men and women—and thank God we have a president who cares. The Washington Post and others should be grateful to him rather than criticizing him. The President will be an encouragement and a blessing to these cadets.

Franklin Graham’s response sparked many on Facebook to express their agreement in the comments section, with many as well having enough of the Democrats partisan and nonsensical attacks:

“Thank you Franklin for speaking up. It makes me so sad that the media blatantly twists things to try and harm the reputation of our President. He loves this country and the people and may God bless him, guide him and keep him safe,” a Facebook user wrote.

“There is no low that is too low for the President’s detractors,” earnestly expressed one person below Graham’s post. “I am so disgusted by their lack of civility, I can hardly stand it. Never, in my lifetime, did I think I would see such evil from a political party as I’m seeing from the Democrats. If I never had to hear or see another Democrat ‘rant’ I would love it. God protect us from their evil.”

“The hatred is coming from Satan,” one woman explained. “He knows his time is short and he is working overtime. God is not about hate. Only love. Trust God, He is still on the throne and still in control.”

“We have to continue to pray for President Trump and the whole administration… evil is fighting but will lose this battle against good,” another added. “God is victorious and deserves the credit”

In the Washington Post article Rev. Graham linked below his Facebook post, the Liberal news site quoted Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) urging the President to call off the so-called “vanity speech.”

The article was replete with excuses as to why the President is being “absurd” to go forward with the event, as they claimed it is “all just so the president has an audience to give a speech he wants to give.”

It is also worth noting that, as one commenter below Graham’s post pointed out, Vice President Mike Pence recently made a commencement speech at the US Airforce, April 18th, without a complaint:

“Vice President Pence spoke at the Air Force Academy’s commencement, and I didn’t hear much complaining. It was handled very well, I thought. Each cadet had a chair, 6′ from the other, etc, and it went off without a hitch, I presume. After 4 long years, with many military years ahead of them, those graduating cadets deserved that!”

Throughout the Coronavirus Pandemic Democrats have time and time again revealed that their concern is not with the safety and well being of the American people. Their concern lies with their political agendas, their craving for control and power (even to the unreasonable limiting of basic rights), and their hatred for President Donald J. Trump.

Isaiah 5:20-21 KJV – “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!”

Shifting Geopolitical Landscape: Examining The ‘Abraham Accords’ Through A Biblical Lens

Because they are frequently mentioned in the news, it’s likely that many people are aware of the Abraham Accords and generally understand their purpose. However, if you were to ask the average person to elaborate on what it means to “normalize relations” with Israel, or what realistically takes place when a country becomes a signatory to the Accords, it’s doubtful that most would be able to confidently answer the question. So, what exactly do these agreements do, and why should we, as Christians, pay attention to them?

Vigilant To Protect: A Pastor’s Responsibility To Call Out False Teachers

I recently watched a minister online. He gave a scathing critique of those who dare call out purveyors of false doctrine. He said we should love our fellow Christians. Paradoxically, he criticized those who criticize others. He seemed intent on inoculating his followers — making them immune to charges of false doctrine against his friends and himself. In one sense, the attack seemed pious. Don’t criticize. Be loving. Be sweet. But Jesus ran the money changers out of the temple.
