The European Union passed a resolution preemptively condemning the United States Supreme Court for overturning Roe V. Wade following the “nightmare” draft decision leaked in May.
Following a plenary debate the day prior, the European Parliament voted Thursday in favor of the resolution 364 to 154, “reminding” Supreme Court Justices that it is “vital to uphold” Roe V. Wade and protect the “right” for women to kill their unborn children via abortion.
“MEPs condemn the backsliding in women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights worldwide, including in the US and some EU countries, calling for safe access to abortion,” the EU stated.
According to the “deeply concerned” EU members, if the US Supreme Court were to overturn Roe V. Wade, turning the abortion laws over to be determined by individual states, this would have “consequences worldwide.”
The MEPs further demanded that President Biden and his administration intervene to “ensure access to safe and legal abortion.”
As Kurt Zindulka noted in an article published to Breitbart News, the EU members evidently lack an understanding of “how American republicanism operates as a governmental system.”
The EU parliament “call[ed] on President Joe Biden to ‘ensure access to safe and legal abortion,’ despite the President having no legal authority to do so,” Zindulka stressed. “The globalist body also curiously claimed that Roe v Wade ‘protects the right to abortion in the US Constitution,’ even though there is no mention whatsoever of abortion in America’s founding documents.”
Several states, including Texas, were singled out in the resolution, with the EU insisting they “swiftly repeal” pro-life laws and “bring their legislation in line” with the globalist “human rights” standards (i.e. unfettered abortion access).
Christine Anderson, an MEP from Germany who voted against the resolution, criticized the EU for interfering, asking if they had forgotten that “the USA is no longer a colony ruled from Europe.”
Many may recognize Anderson from her firey rebuke of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in March for “openly admir[ing] the Chinese basic dictatorship” and “trampl[ing] on fundamental rights” of Canadians who “dared to stand up to his perverted concept of democracy.”
On Thursday, Anderson stated she is not surprised that the European Union is misplacing its condemnation “since the EU is perfectly in line with globalists’ sick ‘brave new world’ agenda” and it now “only calls out on governments which actually respect freedom, democracy, and the rule of law.”
In addition to chastising the United States, turning toward EU members, the European Parliament also took the opportunity in the resolution to rebuke the pro-life countries within the union whose laws do not “guarantee” abortion access.
The parliament specifically asserted that the “religion” of medical practitioners opposed to abortion should be disregarded by countries and not used to “deny women access to abortion.”
In the eyes of globalist leaders, no sovereign nation or individual state has the liberty to go against the grain of their progressive narrative.
Under former US President Donald Trump, globalists worked eagerly to be rid of an America which stood in opposition to their agenda, including surrounding the issue of abortion. Though Trump is no longer in the White House, the current dilemma for the elite stems from the three conservative SCOTUS justices he left behind, causing Roe V. Wade to be placed on the chopping block.
The European Union’s resolution is yet another attempt, this time beyond the border of the United States, to intimate SCOTUS Justices into changing their leaked decision on Roe V. Wade.
Discussing the leak in May, Christian writer Samuel Sey stressed that the battle surrounding Roe V. Wade, a decision that has resulted in the deaths of 63 million children since 1973, is spiritual in nature.
“If you didn’t know already—you’re about to find out that the culture wars are just a proxy war of the spiritual war,” Sey wrote. “We are not merely protecting babies from abortionists, we are protecting babies from Satan. We are not merely debating abortion with ‘pro-choice’ people, we are defending truth and justice against demonic deception and injustice.”
“We are not merely wrestling with abortion activists, leftists, and Democrats—we’re wrestling against even more powerful beings,” he underscored. “Let’s commit ourselves to praying that the Supreme Court Justices won’t waver on their plans to overturn Roe v. Wade, please pray for them, and please pray for their families.”
