Let the contrast sink in: when the state’s attempt to kill a convicted murderer fails, doctors rush to save her life. When a mother’s attempt to kill an innocent child fails, Congress still argues over whether the law should explicitly require appropriate care.

Vague definitions put anyone’s lawful speech at risk. Political advocacy, scientific discussion, journalism and religious teaching all lack clear protection in the draft. Church websites, parents’ groups and small community forums could be caught alongside global platforms, without the staff or resources to manage the compliance burden. Within these contexts, it is abundantly clear that this Bill is yet another attempt by the government to introduce what their failed 2024 Misinformation Bill couldn’t: a mechanism for the online censorship of voices opposed to their own and the ideologically-driven groups they’re beholden to.

“The United States should challenge Beijing’s unlawful maritime claims and back that challenge with action. This November, Idaho voters will decide whether to pass Prop 1, the so-called Reproductive Freedom and Privacy Act. A “Yes” vote creates a statutory “right” to abortion in Idaho until fetal viability. A “No” vote would leave in place Idaho’s Defense of Life Act, which protects babies from fertilization. Prop 1 is a citizen-initiated statute. If it passes on November 3, it will take effect on January 1, 2027, as new state law.

In a proclamation, the Virginia school district said it “recognizes October 2026 as LGBTQ+ History Month in Loudoun County Public Schools” and encouraged staff, students and community members to “honor and celebrate the rich history and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community” to Virginia, Loudoun County and its schools.

The controversy began in October 2023, when California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) signed into law a measure that allowed religious institutions and nonprofit colleges to bypass local zoning laws in order to quickly establish affordable housing. The measure was apparently intended to make it easier for local jurisdictions to abide by state regulations that mandate a certain amount of appropriately zoned land in order to accommodate population growth across all economic levels, including extremely low-income individuals like the homeless. But now, churches in the deep blue state are finding that property developers are attempting to use the regulations to force them to sell property against their will, which could eventually devolve into their property being confiscated through eminent domain.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry accused the Greens of adopting an ideology aimed at Israel’s destruction and said the resolution went far beyond legitimate criticism of Israeli government policy. The ministry said the motion “labels as ‘racist’ the aspiration of the Jewish people for self-determination” while advocating a Palestinian state “from the river to the sea.” Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar subsequently barred Green Party leader Zack Polanski from entering Israel, saying the resolution constituted antisemitism under the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition because it denied Jews the right to self-determination.

Not even the church—beloved as it is by God and as much as it strives to serve Him—is a fulfillment of God’s promise to establish His physical Kingdom here on Earth. We’re playing on Satan’s turf. Right now, the world is his domain (1 John 5:19). As Jesus said, we are in this world, but not of it (John 17:14–19). This is not our home. Scripture makes clear reference to the physical nature of God’s coming Kingdom. It will begin when Jesus comes again and stands on the Mount of Olives, the very spot from which He ascended to heaven after His resurrection. In that day, the Lord will be recognized as the rightful King over all the earth, over all His creation which He purposed to be part of His Kingdom since time began (Zechariah 14:9; Obadiah v. 21).
