Reports suggest that the number of those killed by the Iranian regime is in the many thousands, as the people of Iran continue to protest the brutal, oppressive regime that has held them captive for nearly 47 yearsโsince the fall of the Shah and the rise of Ayatollah-led rule.
There is a red line that President Trump has drawn for the Iranian regime: killing your own people will result in strong action by the United States. Despite the President’s warnings, bodies continue to pile up as the state seeks to crush dissent and silence its protesters.
President Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday evening that, apparently, Iran now wants to talk: “Yesterday, the leaders of Iran called. They want to negotiate. I think they’re tired of being beat up by the United States. Iran wants to negotiate. We may meet with them. A meeting is being set up, but we may have to act because of what’s happening before the meeting.”
To make matters worse within Iran, Amir Tsarfati on his Telegram channel reported that the regime has managed to block Starlink from providing Internet access. This internet blackout is further limiting the dissemination of information, covering up the scope of the regime’s deadly crackdown.
The massacre of protesters is reaching horrific proportions. So will America strike?
World Israel News reported that the United States is looking carefully at its options:
President Donald Trump is seriously considering launching an air campaign against regime forces in Iran, US officials say, after security forces gunned down protesters at demonstrations across the country during an internet blackout.
A report published byย The New York Timesย Saturday night cited multiple American officials who said that the president has been briefed on a number of new options for military strikes in Iran.
According to the report, Trump has yet to make a final decision on a possible attack, but he is said to be seriously considering strikes in response to the Iranian government’s violent crackdown on protesters.
The scenarios presented to the president include strikes limited to military targets in Iran, as well as options for hitting nonmilitary regime sites in the capital.
Trump has repeatedly threatened to strike Iran in response to the use of deadly force against protesters.
On Saturday, the president took to his Truth Social account to offer American “help” to the protest movement: “Iran is looking at FREEDOM, perhaps like never before. The USA stands ready to help!!!”
A day earlier, Trump warned that his administration is monitoring events in Iran “very, very closely,” and that the US would strike Iran “where it hurts” if the regime resumes “killing people as it did in the past.”
“I’ve made the statement very strongly that if they start killing people like they have in the past, we will get involved,” Trump told reporters on Friday.
In the event of the regime being overthrown, the former Shah waits in the midst, ready to take the country in a totally different direction, especially when it comes to Israel.
“The Abraham Accords, which, of course, were sabotaged by the regime… I think we should elevate that to the Cyrus Accords,” Reza Pahlavi, the exiled Crown Prince of Iran, stated.
Israel would undoubtedly love to see the emergence of “Cyrus Accords.” In Ezra 1:2, we read that it was the Persian King Cyrus who issued a decree for the Jewish people to rebuild after the Babylonians, in 586 BC, destroyed the temple constructed by Solomon.
The Jewish people were taken captive hundreds of miles to the east in Babylon. King Cyrus gave the green light for the Jewish people return and rebuild. Amazingly, Isaiah prophesied about King Cyrus 150 years before he came on the scene. God called Cyrus “His anointed.” In Isaiah 45:1, God says, “Thus says the Lord to His anointed, To Cyrus, whose right hand I have held…”
Which way will Iran turn? If they do turn in a positive direction, how does the future war in Ezekiel 38-39 factor into the mix? Time will tell if there is a regime change; many questions remain. One thing is certain: God’s Word will come to pass exactly as He said it would.
We can be sure of that. Standing with His chosen people, as King Cyrus did, will bring blessingโto do otherwise brings disaster and shame, as the Iranian regime has experienced firsthand. Genesis 12:3 tells us clearly, “I will bless those who bless you [Israel], and I will curse him who curses you…”
Let’s continue to pray for the Iranian people and their liberation to a freer and better future.
