UK Reverses Course on Extreme Transgender Ideology In Female Prisons

The United Kingdom is reportedly reversing course on progressive policies that housed biologically male “transgender” individuals with female inmates in the nation’s prisons.

UK Justice Minister, Dominic Raab, is set to announce the change following a string of sexual assaults and accusations that women were being jeopardized as a result of the dangerous policy.

report published in May by the Policy Exchange highlighted the urgent need to prioritize women’s safety over these policies which are “rooted in an extreme ideology.”

“The safety of female prisoners is being put at risk, and their dignity and privacy undermined, by being incarcerated with biological males, some of whom are known sex offenders,” the report stated.

“The Ministry of Justice acknowledges that this is causing high levels of fear and anxiety to women who are often already traumatised by their experiences of sexual assault and domestic abuse, yet the wish of trans-identifying males to be placed in the women’s estate is given priority. The claim that this is a fair balancing of rights does not stand up to scrutiny…” the report stressed.

“The policies of the criminal justice institutions which are examined in this publication are rooted in an extreme ideology in which claims to rights based on ‘gender identity’ take precedence over the rights of others, and particularly the sex-based rights of women, even where this involves denying their rights to safety,” they continued. “These policies are not aligned with the law and have developed in the absence of public scrutiny or democratic consensus. They need to be reviewed as a matter of urgency.”

A spokesman announced that the Justice Secretary, after a review, had “directed changes” to be done quickly “so that transgender prisoners with male genitalia are not housed with other biologically born women in the female prison estate, unless specifically signed off by a minister.”

The announcement was welcomed by the organization Keep Prisons Single Sex (KPSS) who, although are optimistic that changes are coming, remain cautious, underscoring that “we must wait until the revised policy is released.”

Problems arising from transgenders being housed in women’s prisons is not a new revelation. Four years ago in 2018, a biological male identifying as female, who was a convicted rapist and pedophile, was sent to an all-women’s UK prison, resulting in the sexual assault of multiple women. The Ministry of Justice apologized for the widely reported incident and sent the inmate back to a male prison.

The “gender identity” policies in prison span beyond the United Kingdom. In the United States, there have been numerous stories detailing the fear, intimidation, and sexual assaults resulting from gender identity sorted prisons.

In California, the state’s response to the inevitable rapes was to assure women who became pregnant, or so-called “pregnant people,” that they would be provided contraceptives and Plan B abortion pills.

Several female inmates in the State, together with California Family Council, filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court last November.

The suit stated that “everything we warned legislators” would result from these policies “is coming true.”

“Women inmates are being assaulted and sexually harassed,” Greg Burt of the California Family Council described. “Women inmates are being traumatized over violations of their privacy. Fear and dread now occupy the minds of every California female inmate, because our legislators and governor care more about the desires of trans-identified males than they do the safety of vulnerable women.”

Ken Ham, the Founder and CEO of Answers In Genesis, commented on the progressive prison policies in California, asserting that “transgender ideology is a war on women.”

“Not only are the survivors of rape and sexual assaults who become pregnant referred to by the very de-humanizing language of ‘pregnant people’ on posters, but the state’s solution to the wave of rapes that they know is coming is to focus on preventing pregnancy or destroying or (thankfully, in some cases) caring for the child—not on refusing to allow biological males to be housed with women so such situations won’t happen in the first place!” he wrote.

“The LGBTQ+ agenda really isn’t about caring for women or people in general,” Ham warned. “It is more about advancing an ideology, regardless of the consequences on bystanders and even those within the movement.”

“Ultimately, it’s a movement rooted in rebellion against God and his natural order (Genesis 1:27 and 2:24), so this news shouldn’t come as a surprise. Incarcerated women are people made in God’s very image with dignity and worth,” he explained. “What is happening in California, and other states (and spreading), is disgusting and evil in the sight of God (consider that under the Old Testament law, rape carried with it the death penalty). We must stand against the lunacy and denial of biological reality of transgenderism and advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

Christian Parents In Europe Seek Help From Washington After Swedish Gov’t Seizes Their Children, Calls Church Attendance ‘Religious Extremism’

The child protection services called the couple “religious extremists,” citing the family’s church attendance, which was three times a week, and their refusal to allow the girls to wear make-up. The Samsons fought for custody of their children 14 times in court. They said prosecuting attorneys cited their lack of a television in the home and their reading of Bible stories as “violent” and grounds for the religious extremist accusations. The case reached the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), which ruled on March 10 that the case was “inadmissible,” a final decision that cannot be appealed.

Called Out From The Culture: The Hope For America Is The Church

I believe that the hope for America is the church—God working through his church. Christians need to live up to their name. As Christ followers, we need to be Christlike. And if the church would be what it was meant to be, then it would change our nation. But let’s localize it. If your church would be what it ought to be, it could change your city. It could change your county, and it could change your state. Let’s localize it even more. If you would be what you ought to be as a follower of Jesus Christ and as a part of the church, then what a difference it could make in your church.
