A 77-year-old school nurse in Hartford, Connecticut, was suspended this week after expressing concern on Facebook over school staff pushing children toward gender confusion and puberty blockers.
Particularly troubling to the nurse, Kathleen Cataford, was the sharp rise in students openly identifying as non-binary at school, with little to no parental knowledge, as well as one 11-year-old student who she learned was taking puberty blockers.
Cataford’s post began by advising parents to “Investigate the school system curriculum.”
“[Connetitut] is a very socially liberal, gender-confused state,” she wrote. “As a public school nurse, I have an 11yo female student on puberty blockers and a dozen identifying as non-binary, all but two keeping this as a secret from their parents with the help of teachers, [social service workers] and school administration.”
“Teachers and [social service workers] are spending 37.5 hours a week influencing our children, not necessarily teaching our children what YOU think is being taught,” the nurse warned. “Children are introduced to this confusion in kindergarten by the school [social worker] who ‘teaches’ social and emotional regulation and school expectations.”
“Science tells us that a child’s brain continues development into the early ’20s, hence laws prohibiting alcohol, tobacco, vaping, and cannabis,” she argued, “but it’s ok to inject hormones into confused prepubescent children and perform genital mutilating surgery on adolescents!”
Her comments, published to a local FaceBook mother’s group, were labeled “transphobic” by Richard J Kinsella Magnet School which promptly suspended her. The school was informed about the post after the mother of the 11-year-old child taking puberty blockers came across it online.
Some parents from the school, according to Daily Mail, voiced opposition to the nurse claiming that the real problem surrounded the “privacy” of the children, this despite both the school and children remaining entirely unnamed in the Facebook post.
The family of the 11-year-old praised the school for their “quick action” suspending Cataford, reiterating the allegation that the child’s “safety” and “privacy” were placed in jeopardy by the nurse.
“The real problem had nothing to do with the child’s safety or privacy. The family and school took issue with the nurse’s heartfelt concern that impressionable children were being irrevocably harmed by gender ideology,” Breanna Claussen, Harbingers Daily Editor In Chief, said in response. “Interestingly, ‘privacy’ and ‘security’ are often the excuse used to justify keeping parents in the dark as schools lead children down the dark road of gender confusion.”
Isaiah 5:20 reads, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
“Cataford should have been commended for her care for these children and commitment to genuine science and truth,” Claussen continued. “Isaiah 5:20 is a pertinent verse for our society today where good is called evil and evil is called good. Woe unto the school; well done to the courageous nurse for seeking to expose child abuse.”
This news comes as the Biden Administration published an HHS guidance endorsing “gender-affirming surgeries” for children on the so-called “International Transgender Day of Visibility.”
Franklin Graham, discussing the Biden Administration’s endorsement of the procedures, called the research used to justify the decision “a lie from hell.”
“Mutilating bodies and removing the genitalia of children is permanent. All of their manipulated research saying that it improves mental health or increases happiness is just a lie from hell. What it really does is destroy the lives and futures of these children,” the evangelist underscored. “Churches and followers of Jesus Christ must stand against this evil agenda.”
