Chinese Military Calls US ‘Destroyer of World Peace’ Following Critical DOD Report

China’s Defense Ministry has called the U.S. “the destroyer of world peace” in response to a critical Department of Defense report that said the country’s military buildup aims to “revise” the international order.

Defense Ministry spokesman Col. Wu Qian called the Sept. 2 report a “wanton distortion” of China’s aims and the relationship between the People’s Liberation Army and China’s 1.4 billion people.

“Many years of evidence shows that it is the U.S. that is the fomenter of regional unrest, the violator of the international order and the destroyer of world peace,” he said Sunday.

Qian said more than 800,000 people have been killed and millions displaced because of the actions of the U.S. in Iraq, Syria and Libya over the past two decades.

The more than 150-page Defense Department report to Congress examined the Chinese military’s technical capabilities and ultimate ambitions. It also analyzed China’s strategy toward Taiwan, a U.S. ally that China considers a part of its territory to be annexed by force if necessary.

“Certainly, many factors will determine how this course unfolds,” the report said. “What is certain is that (the ruling Communist Party) has a strategic end state that it is working towards, which, if achieved and its accompanying military modernization left unaddressed, will have serious implications for U.S. national interests and the security of the international rules-based order.”

The report found that China’s military has overtaken the U.S. military in size, including its navy, which has approximately 350 ships and submarines, compared to about 293 for the U.S. The 2 million-member People’s Liberation Army is the world’s largest standing military.

It also said China has built a considerable arsenal of land-based ballistic and cruise missiles and has one of the world’s largest forces of advanced long-range surface-to-air systems.

But Qian said the U.S. should reflect on itself rather than issue “false comments about China’s normal defense and military construction.”

“We call on the U.S. to view China’s national defense and military construction objectively and rationally, cease making false statements and related reports, and take concrete actions to safeguard the healthy development of bilateral military relations,” he said.

What does this have to do with Bible Prophecy?

When Jesus’ disciples came to Him and asked “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus explained to them that one of the signs that would precede His coming would be the hearing of “wars and rumours of wars”. We are also told that this sign, along with others, would increase in frequency and intensity. See – Matthew 24

Why Christians Have A Biblical Responsibility To Participate In The Political Process

With the 2026 midterm elections just days away, millions of Americans are preparing to cast their ballots in an election that will have significant implications for the nation’s future. With control of Congress hanging in the balance, voters will help determine the legislative agenda and political trajectory of the next two years. For Christians, the election raises questions that go beyond political parties, candidates, and policy preferences. Is voting merely a civic privilege, or does Scripture provide a theological framework for understanding it as an act of stewardship and love of neighbor? And what role should pastors and churches play in equipping believers to exercise this responsibility faithfully? As Americans prepare to head to the polls next Tuesday, these questions invite us to consider a more fundamental issue: whether Christians have a Biblical responsibility to participate in the political process.

A Barbaric Death Penalty: Politicians, Doctors, The Abortion Industry, And The Media Have Lied To Mothers

Sadly, the abortion industry continues to either deny the level of pain inflicted upon the preborn or bury the evidence by introducing “expert” reports that contain deliberately vague language which seeks to assure mothers that abortion does not cross any moral barriers. Although a consensus on the impact of pain on the preborn would be a positive step in educating the public, the reality is that pain tolerance does not excuse the injustice perpetrated in abortion clinics.

The Church Cannot Remain Silent On Biblical Matters Because They Have Been Declared ‘Political’

Jesus called His followers the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Neither image suggests withdrawal. Both describe engagement that makes a difference. So the issue is not whether the church should become political. It is whether Christians will remain biblical when biblical truth has political consequences. Our calling is neither to become the mouthpiece of a party nor to retreat into silence. It is to stand on God’s word, defend what is right, confront what is wrong, and speak with courage — even when the culture would rather we remain silent.
