Sometimes evil lurks in the shadows. Other times, it operates openly for everyone to see. That was the case earlier this week in Massachusetts when Democrat Governor Maura Healey signed legislation legalizing abortion up until the moment of birth.
This means that little babies, fully formed, can now be literally ripped apart and murdered just moments before they’re supposed to come out of their mother’s womb. It’s almost too horrifying to comprehend the pain these babies will go through as their lives are snuffed out. But flanked by a group of liberal women who were absolutely ecstatic about the new law, Governor Healey was thrilled at a signing ceremony earlier this week.
It was what I call an Isaiah 5:20 moment. Healey and her cohorts were celebrating being able to snuff out precious young lives at the latest possible moment of a pregnancy.
Ten other states also reportedly have abortion without any restrictions, but none announced it with the same fanfare as Massachusetts.
In their hearts, people know how barbaric and ghoulish it is. Top Democrats have been assuring us for years that they don’t support late-term abortions or abortion on demand. Well, the mask is now off.
We are a long way from the days of Bill Clinton and his โsafe, legal, and rareโ abortion policy, where the left tried to at least feign some concern for the unborn. Now it’s โshout your abortionโ and wear it as a badge of pride. Try running for office as a pro-life Democrat these days and see how far your campaign gets!
Wrap your heads around this. Since 1973, over 64 million babies have been aborted in the United States. 64 million. As we just saw in Massachusetts, the pro-abortion crowd keeps pushing the envelope to come up with new and creative ways to abort even more babies. We may be the most advanced and prosperous society in world history, but that 64 million number tells me that something is seriously wrong in our soul.
Today’s abortion industry would make the ancient child sacrifice cult of Moloch blush.
