Samaritan’s Purse volunteers are already hard at work in Illinois after a massive storm tore through the Middle States Friday, spawning destructive tornadoes that left homes and communities damaged. An EF-2 tornado touched down in Lena, Illinois, damaging roofs and uprooting trees.
Our volunteers deployed out of our base of operations at our host church, Lena Evangelical Free Church in Lena.
Samaritan’s Purse Disaster Relief Unit #3 departed our Wilkes Office and Warehouse in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, April 18. Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains are also on hand in communities offering emotional support and spiritual encouragement from God’s Word.
Please pray for this hurting community and for our teams as they serve residents in Jesus’ Name.
