Blessings In Disguise: Serving A God Who Can Bring Good Out Of Terrible Tragedy

Anne Graham Lotz

On Sept. 10, when I first heard that Charlie Kirk had been shot, I was shocked. While I hadn’t followed Charlie closely, I was aware of him as a young man who stood boldly for what he believed and sought to speak truth to the young generation.

I immediately began to pray for God to save his life. Within a short period of time, I found out God had not answered as I had asked. Charlie had succumbed to his wound, leaving me and millions of others stunned. Speechless. Numb.

I then began to ask “why?” Not in an accusatory way, but what was the reason for this? I was, and am, confident Charlie was a child of God because he had placed his faith in Jesus. I was also confident he was obeying what he believed to be God’s call in his life. So why hadn’t God protected him as He obviously had protected President Trump on at least two occasions? What was God up to?

Two Scriptures came to mind as I prayed. The first was the familiar Romans 8:28 … that “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

But how could this be good? The answer was in the second verse, John 12:24: “… unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.”

The worldwide response to Charlie’s assassination brings clarity and confirmation that from his death, thousands of people, young and old, are reading a Bible for the first time. They are going to church. They are placing their faith in Jesus. Worldwide.

As our world … your world …  seems to unravel and life’s journey takes a sharp turn, thank God for the blessed reassurance that He is moving and bringing all things under the authority of His Son and our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

The LGBT Worldview Is Permeating Our Schools… Should We Send Our Children Into This Anti-Christian System?

The LGBTQ worldview is permeating our secular schools (and, sadly, even some “Christian” schools). Secular schools (e.g., public schools in the USA) are not neutral. The Bible says you’re either for Christ or against. And when you build your thinking on man’s word instead of God’s Word, then ultimately anything goes. And we’re seeing that happen now throughout the secular anti-God education system.

Will Graham Leads Prayer, Shares The Gospel With South Dakota’s Government Leaders

Will Graham, who was invited to speak and lead a prayer, took the opportunity to share the Gospel with anyone who didn’t yet have a relationship with Christ. He told the story of Nicodemus, a religious leader in the Bible. “You can do good things, you can serve your community, but that doesn’t make you right in God’s eyes. You may look like you have it all together, but on the inside you’re far from God.”

In An Ever Darkening World, We Can Find Solace In Bible Prophecy

The bright side of the growing evil in the world is that it is a sure sign that we are living in the season of the Lord’s return. If you will check Genesis 6, you will find that Noah’s society was characterized by violence and immorality. This is the reason that the great pastor, Adrian Rogers (1931-2005), once said, “The world is growing gloriously dark.” How can the acceleration of evil be considered “glorious”? Because it is a sign of the imminent return of Jesus.
