The most important tool of the United Nations agenda for globalism, the UN “education” agency known as UNESCO, just received a major black eye from the Trump administration this week as the U.S. government announced its withdrawal. Globalists everywhere are howling. And UNESCO’s leadership is fuming.
But much more work remains if Americans are going to free themselves and their children from the dangerous influence of the communists, New Age occultists, population-control zealots and other evildoers running the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. Indeed, its influence is felt in classrooms across America and worldwide.
And UNESCO is boasting that despite the withdrawal, it intends to continue working with other “partners” in America. These “partners” include state and local education agencies, textbook publishers, “EdTech” purveyors, institutions of “higher learning,” and much more. The group also said the U.S. government will be welcome back again when ready.
This is actually the third time that the U.S. government is pulling out of the scandal-plagued UN agency. President Ronald Reagen first withdrew, pointing to the outfit’s hostility to liberty, free speech, American values, journalistic freedom, and more. Trump pulled out during his first term, too.
The latest announcement went further than previous ones. Pointing to anti-American ideologies and the evils of globalism, the U.S. State Department said enough was enough. In a public statement released by the administration announcing the coming U.S. withdrawal, the U.S. government lambasted the UN agency like never before.
“UNESCO works to advance divisive social and cultural causes and maintains an outsized focus on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, a globalist, ideological agenda for international development at odds with our America First foreign policy,” a press release from the Department of State explained.
The 17 UN “Sustainable Development Goals,” known collectively as the 2030 Agenda, represent one of the most breathtaking power grabs in UN history. From global wealth redistribution and “health” schemes to controls on agriculture and production more broadly, every area of life is impacted by what UN leaders called the “masterplan for humanity.”
Goal 4, in particular, calls for every child in the world to be indoctrinated into ideologies such as sustainable development, environmentalism, radical feminism, globalism, leftist “global citizenship,” and more. The UN plan also demands that children become “agents of change” to implement the UN plan.
As documented by this writer for over a decade, the corrupt UN agency has been dominated by humanists, communists, New Age occultists, eugenicists, and other totalitarians from its earliest days. The agency’s “education” chief is literally a card-carrying member of the Chinese Communist Party, the most murderous group in human history.
UNESCO chief Audrey Azoulay, a longtime member of the French Socialist Party, lamented the U.S. exit in a statement. “I deeply regret President Donald Trump’s decision to once again withdraw the United States of America from UNESCO,” Azoulay complained, likely worried about the tremendous loss of U.S. funding.
While trying to brush off the impact by boasting of its increasing budget and funding from other sources, Azoulay and other UNESCO leaders were clearly upset. “This decision contradicts the fundamental principles of multilateralism, and may affect first and foremost our many partners in the United States of America,” added the French socialist.
Azoulay also blasted the administration’s reasoning. “The reasons put forward by the United States to withdraw from the Organization are the same as seven years ago, even though the situation has changed profoundly, political tensions have receded, and UNESCO today constitutes a rare forum for consensus on concrete and action-oriented multilateralism,” she claimed in the statement.
UNESCO’s purpose, Azoulay continued, is to “welcome all the nations of the world.” As such, “the United States of America is and will always be welcome.” She knows that, unless Congress acts to make the withdrawal permanent, the next globalist U.S. president will get the U.S. government entangled in UNESCO again. George W. Bush and Biden did precisely that.
Perhaps even more alarming, Azoulay vowed that UNESCO’s tentacles and influence would continue to be felt in America. “We will continue to work hand in hand with all of our American partners in the private sector, academia, and non-profit organizations, and will pursue political dialogue with the US administration and Congress,” she said.
While it is better known for its so-called “World Heritage Sites” program, the UN agency is the lead player in the effort to globalize and weaponize education. From injecting diabolical “spirituality” into the classroom to standardizing indoctrination globally, the agency is among the most dangerous within the UN system.
It has been branching out, too. In recent decades, the UN agency has worked and celebrated plans to sexualize children with obscene “Comprehensive Sexual Education” (CSE). The outfit has also taken the lead on trying to censor the Internet under the guise of stopping “conspiracy theories,” “hate,” “misinformation,” and “disinformation.”
Among other concerns, critics lamented that the withdrawal does not take effect until December 31, 2026. This is because UNESCO’s constitution requires an official “notice period,” after which the withdrawal can legally take effect. That means U.S. taxpayers will continue to subsidize the organization’s extremism for over a year.
The Reagan administration first took aim at UNESCO in 1984. As Assistant Secretary for International Organization Affairs Gregory Newell put it, “UNESCO has extraneously politicized virtually every subject it deals with.” “It has exhibited hostility toward a free society, especially a free market and a free press,” he said, blasting its spending spree too.
In 2017, meanwhile, Trump again pulled the U.S. out of UNESCO, reversing George W. Bush’s decision to rejoin. Trump expressed similar concerns to Reagan, blasting out of control anti-Semitism, extremism, and hostility to the God-given rights of Americans. But like many other Trump policies, Joe Biden reversed the decision and rejoined UNESCO.
While the withdrawal notice is welcome news for patriots and those who seek to protect children, far more work remains. The agency’s influence will persist, as UNESCO’s socialist chief explained, regardless. And the next globalist president will certainly rejoin. The answer is for Congress to enshrine the exit and defunding in federal law now.
