Propagating ‘Climate Change,’ South Africa’s President Bands With Globalists As Catastrophic Flooding Kills Hundreds

As the deadly flooding in the South African Province of KwaZulu-Natal has killed at least 448, the country’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa, propagated the claim that the disaster has occurred as a result of so-called ‘climate change.’

Ramaphosa, who referred to the flooding as “a catastrophe of enormous proportions,” told the region’s residents, who have a 35% unemployment rate, that the flooding was proof that the government could no longer put off investing in combating ‘climate change.’

“This disaster is part of climate change. It is telling us that climate change is serious; it is here,” he claimed while visiting affected areas last week. “We no longer can postpone what we need to do and the measures we need to take to deal with climate change.”

An estimated $684.6 million dollars in damages have resulted from the flooding and subsequent mudslides, including the destruction of 4,000 homes. In addition, the military has deployed 10,000 to aid in search and rescue efforts, as well as help in other efforts to rebuild and deliver supplies to citizens.

Durban, whose port is the largest shipping terminal in sub-Saharan Africa, was the hardest-hit city by the water damage.

In a televised address on Monday, President Ramaphosa reiterated his assertion that the tragedy should be directly attributed to the “climate crisis” and that new eco-investments by the poverty-stricken country must be made.

“These floods are a tragic reminder of the increasing frequency of extreme weather conditions as a result of climate change,” he stated. “We need to increase our investment in climate adaptation measures to better safeguard communities against the effects of climate change.”

Many world leaders have demonstrated their willingness to place cooperation with globalist agendas ahead of the needs and best interests of their citizens. The “climate crisis” has proven itself to be a favorite narrative amoung the elite.

In February, the South African President conveyed his commitment to partner with globalist leaders and the United Nations in “shared global objectives” related to climate action.

“The nations of the world can only address the global climate change crisis by working together,” he said in a statement. “It is imperative that we do not lose momentum, and that climate change is not relegated to the periphery of the global development agenda.”

In a speech to the World Economic Forum, President Ramaphosa stated that world crises, such as climate change, were exacerbated during the pandemic, and it is the responsibility of world powers to “work to advance the global agenda for people, planet, as well as prosperity.”

Ramaphosa added that the goal is “not to restore the world” following the pandemic but to “forge a new path and a new design to a world that is just, peaceful, cohesive, resilient, and sustainable.”

“There is perhaps no area of human endeavor that requires common global action more than our response to climate change,” he added.

Many liberal news organizations have also attributed the recent flooding in South Africa to climate change, pointing to weather data demonstrating that although heavy rainfall and flooding in the province of KwaZulu-Natal is normal, the severity of the weather has increased in frequency and intensity.

The Bible, however, provides a very different explanation for the increase in natural disasters.

Jan Markell explained that many in our society are quick to take “God out of the equation” and suggest that “tragedies are man-made and the result of man-made climate change.”

“Who can watch the calamity of natural disasters today?” Markell asked. “Weather commentators have said they are escalating with greater frequency and intensity. Imagine—the world is using biblical terminology! The world has taken God out of the equation, and suggests the tragedies are man-made and the result of man-made climate change, when there are over 50 Bible references stating that God is in control of the weather.”

“While these will be off-the-chart in the Tribulation, we see a foretaste of them now in the Church Age,” she explained. “The world is suggesting that only a mother-earth type worship system will fix these natural calamities as they refuse to recognize them as the hand of God. They are a stunning herald of Christ’s soon return.”

Franklin Graham responded to world leaders like Boris Johnson last November, who claimed that the world is “one minute to midnight” regarding climate change.

“I believe we are one minute to midnight—not regarding climate change, but on God’s clock, when He will bring judgment on those who have rejected Him and His Son, Jesus Christ,” Graham explained. “I’m often asked if we are getting close to the return of Jesus Christ. No man knows the day or the hour [Matthew 24:36], but I believe we are getting close. You’d better be ready.”

Shifting Public Opinion: The Appeal Of Pride Month Appears To Be Fading

For years, June brought a predictable wave of corporate logos, advertising campaigns, themed merchandise, and public celebrations. Parents learned to pay closer attention to commercials in family programming, sports fans grew accustomed to Pride-themed uniforms and promotions, and many city streets became venues for often indecent displays at Pride parades. This year is noticeably different. The symbols are not gone, but they are far less prominent. It’s premature to say Pride has fallen, but it is fair to say the appeal of Pride Month has faded.

A Wake-Up Call: Report Finds That Australian Christians Are Opting For Silence Over Societal Pushback

Over the past few years, I have spoken with countless believers who feel increasingly hesitant to express their faith openly. Teachers are unsure what they can say in the classroom. Healthcare workers worry about the consequences of acting according to their conscience. Employees feel pressure to keep their beliefs private in the workplace. Parents are concerned about the values being promoted in schools and public institutions. Perhaps the most significant finding is not that Christians are facing challenges. Jesus told us to expect opposition. Rather, it is that many believers are quietly withdrawing from public life. They are self-censoring.

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back “not for your sake but for my holy name’s sake,” because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
