Jack Hibbs: God’s Hand In The History Of America

Romans 13:1 reads, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”

It has often been said that history is His story. One of God’s well-known “stories” is the creation of America. The founding of America was no accident to those who had been called to it. In 1491, Christopher Columbus wrote, “It is hope that by God’s assistance, some of the continents in the ocean will be discovered for the glory of God.”

King James of England wrote in 1611, “James, by the grace of God, king of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, defender of the faith, whereas, upon the humble petition of our well-disposed subjects, that intended to make several plantations in America in hope thereby to advance the enlargement of the Christian faith will do so by the glory of God Almighty.”

William Bradford, Governor of Plymouth Plantation said, “Lastly and chiefly the way to prosper and achieve the good success is to make yourselves all of one mind for the good of the country and your own, and to serve and fear God—the giver of all that is good—and for every plantation which our heavenly Father hath not planted, may He root out.”

And His story continued to be written when on September 14, 2001, President George W. Bush said in quoting Romans, “We have been assured that, ‘neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.’ May He bless the souls of the departed. May He comfort our own. And may He always guide our country, God bless America.”

To know the history of America is to learn lessons in the ways of God and His divine providence.

The Modern State Of Israel Tests The Church’s Commitment To Biblical Truth

Over the last 1,500 years, anti-Semitism in the name of Christ has inflicted much pain and suffering on the Jewish people. And the church wonders why so many Jews distrust the church and reject Jesus. We are in a battle for biblical truth. Does the church accept God’s Word and live by it—including the Jewish Scriptures and the admonition to bless Israel—or does it not?

After 47 Years Of Evil, The Mad Mullahs Have Finally Run Into A US President Determined To End Their Terror Empire

This seems to be this demonically inspired regime's last chance. After 47 years of games, double talk, and deception, the mad mullahs have finally run into a U.S. president who is determined to end their terror empire. You could argue that he already has. The regime is now a shell of what it once was. Even if it manages to hang on to power when the dust settles, it's living on borrowed time. That's what happens when a strong leader faces down evil and does not blink.

Abandoning The Duty Of A Shepherd: Should Pastors Speak About Politics From The Pulpit?

When a pastor preaches about what God has to say in His Word about gender, intimacy and marriage, sanctity of life, parental authority, stewardship of resources whether personal or societal, defending one’s family, threats of false doctrines and religions, etc., they are not being “political” but Biblical. Speaking on such topics does not imply that a pastor has an agenda; it simply means they are faithfully fulfilling their duty to proclaim the truth on such matters which God has laid out in His Word.
