Israeli Bus Driver Fired For Preaching Gospel to Passengers

A bus driver inย Israelย lost his job for sharing theย Gospelย with passengers, according to his employer.

The story went viral on social media in the Jewish state, where proselytizingย to minors is illegal, but some have come to the driver’s defense saying he did nothing wrong,ย Israel Todayย reports.

โ€œItโ€™s not the Old Testament and the New Testament โ€” they are one,โ€ the Hebrew-speaking driver says in the video clip. โ€œIf you read it, one completes the other, and then you realize that it all comes from the Holy Spirit.โ€

As several passengers tell the driver to stop talking, he continues, urging them to wear headphones.

โ€œRegarding women, [Jesus]ย respected women,โ€ he also said. โ€œBut in Islam, Mohammed married around 20 young girls, so there were many things that he wanted for himself, and that’s why he said that Allah permits them. So his followers were deceived … Do you [Muhammad] believe in the Ten Commandments? If so, when why does the Quran permit killing? ‘The murdered shall be killed after generations’ … Where did you learn that?”

The Kavim bus company issued a statement following the viral video: “Considering that this is the second complaint on this matter, and after the driver failed to cease his activity, he has been summoned to a disciplinary hearing and the company will weigh whether or not to continue his employment.โ€

Harbingers Daily Note – Arutz Sheva is reporting that the Bus Driver has now been fired by the Kavim bus company for preaching to passengers, after the anti-missionary organization Yad L’Achim demanded that the company act urgently to halt the driver.

An angry passenger, who took his complaint to an anti-missionary group,ย spoke to Ynet, a Hebrew news site, calling the driver’s actionsย “illegal” becauseย children were present on the bus.

โ€œWould you be so upset if the driver had been preaching repentance according to Jewish law?โ€ a Ynet host asked the unnamed passenger.

He responded, “No, and it wouldn’t have been illegal either.”

Despite his controversial remarks, many Israelis defended him online.

โ€œ100 percent legal,โ€ one person wrote. โ€œEvery citizen has the right to his or her own faith.โ€

โ€œAt a time when people are chanting terrorist slogans and waving Palestinians flags in the center of Tel Aviv and no one is complaining,” another commenter wrote,ย “this driver says a few words that set off a media storm.โ€

‘No Israel’ Without Trump?: Mr. President, God Isn’t Looking For A Partner To Share His Glory

โ€œTell you what, if there wasn't me, there would be no Israel right nowโ€โ€ฆ Those were the words of President Trump in an interview on Wednesday. Very respectfully, I want to say to the President of the United States: Mr. Trump, you're wrong. Trump has been the best friend that Israel has ever had in the White Houseโ€”and I say that with no asterisk. But Israel doesn't exist because of any man.

Shifting Public Opinion: The Appeal Of Pride Month Appears To Be Fading

For years, June brought a predictable wave of corporate logos, advertising campaigns, themed merchandise, and public celebrations. Parents learned to pay closer attention to commercials in family programming, sports fans grew accustomed to Pride-themed uniforms and promotions, and many city streets became venues for often indecent displays at Pride parades. This year is noticeably different. The symbols are not gone, but they are far less prominent. Itโ€™s premature to say Pride has fallen, but it is fair to say the appeal of Pride Month has faded.

Jan Markell: Is Israel’s Spiritual Blindness A Reason For Christians To Reject Them?

Ezekiel 36 emphasizes that when the Jews return to the land, they will do so in unbelief. There will be spiritual regeneration much later! The dry bones of Ezekiel 37 reflect a lack of breath or spiritual life. God states he is gathering them back โ€œnot for your sake but for my holy nameโ€™s sake,โ€ because their presence among the nations caused his name to be profaned. Ezekiel 36 promises that once back in the land, God will cleanse them, give them a new spirit, and cause them to walk in his statutes. But much later.
