Greg Laurie: We Have Our New President. What’s Next for Christians?

Greg Laurie

What are we to do now that the election is over?

As Christians, we go back to what we should have always been—and always should be—doing. And that’s living out our faith, being salt and light in the culture.

Act as Salt and Light

To be light means we let people know we’re believers in Jesus Christ. And we show our good works, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

In first century, salt stopped the rotting process. In the same way, Christians in culture speak out against what is wrong and speak up for what is right. We pray for people, we pray for our nation and its spiritual awakening.

Share the Gospel

And don’t forget that the Great Commission is still in the Bible.

It says, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19–20). So let’s get on with this. It’s what we’re commanded to do.

Pray for President Trump

Scripture also tells us to pray for those in authority (see 1 Timothy 2:1–4). Let’s do that. Pray that President Trump will be surrounded by godly and competent people who will give him good counsel in the days ahead.

God bless President Trump and God bless the United States of America!

Looking Beyond Today’s Lawlessness And Corruption To Our Ultimate Hope

We live at a time like no other; everywhere we look, we see signs telling us that the disasters of Revelation 6:1-8 are ever so close. The catastrophic events so far in 2026 point to the start of this time of judgment on the near horizon and, therefore, to Jesus’ soon appearing. If ever there was a time for excitement from the recognition that Jesus’ appearing is ever so close, this is it. Someday, perhaps very soon, our wait will end.

‘Go Woke-Go Broke’: Experts Call Nike To Abandon The Destructive Lie Of Gender Ideology

“Will you continue to participate in the destructive lie of gender ideology that permanently harms children?” Lorey asked. “Will you kowtow to a radical group whose primary goal will result in the elimination of women’s sports? Will you keep on supporting policies that sideline girls like me in our own sports? Or will you take the truly courageous step to follow through on your promises to women and girls? The choice is yours.”

Boldly Reaching The ‘Hopeless Generation’: Charlie Kirk’s Legacy—One Year After His Death

Two months after Charlie was murdered, we went to the very campus where it happened—Utah Valley University—and held a Harvest Crusade. We saw many people—college students—give their lives to Jesus Christ. I believe this is a watershed moment—a turning point, especially for the younger generation. Young people, this is your moment. It’s time to stop trying to fit in and be cool. Instead, be bold and courageous. In fact, that may be the coolest thing you can do. Charlie was bold about his faith to the very end, and so should we be.
