REMOVED: UN Revelation-esque ‘Peace & Security’ Statue No Longer Displayed Following Backlash

The controversial UN statue “guardian of peace and security,” has now been removed from the United Nations headquarters in New York. The statue garner widespread backlash from Christians who noticed the striking similarity in its characteristics to a beast described in the Book of Revelation representing the antichrist.

The spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Stéphane Dujarric, insisted that the statue “was a temporary exhibit” removed as scheduled.

Whether its removal was scheduled or not, Christians familiar with Bible Prophecy, maintain that the fact that the UN would put up such a display demonstrates just how close we are to the Return of Jesus.

Christians Post, in their article reporting on this development, claimed that the removal of the statue demonstrated that it was “likely not the harbinger of the apocalypse some Christians presume.”

However, Harbingers Daily Editor Breanna Claussen responded to the Christian Post, stating that “it is a mistake to discount or mock the Biblical significance of the statue, even after its removal.”

“The UN received a massive response from the Christian Community and faithful pastors who sought to bring to light that the stage is being set by world leaders for the approaching anti-christ,” she said.

“If anything, the removal of the statue demonstrates that the restaining power of the Holy Spirit is still at work, and it will be until the church is removed at the time of the Rapture,” Claussen explained. “The Bible says that prior to the anti-christ or ‘lawless one’ stepping onto the world stage, lawlessness will already be ‘at work.’ It is the Holy Spirit that dwells inside each believer that restrains the progression of this lawlessness until the Body of Christ is removed.”

2 Thessalonians 2:3,6-8 KJV – “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.”

God, who is outside of time, provided an understanding of future events through the Bible. Jesus explained the purpose of Bible Prophecy in John 14, saying, “I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.”

In Scripture, we read about a time in which a global government will emerge led by a man referred to as the “antichrist” or the beast. Revelation chapter 13 speaks about the vast control this leader will have over “all that dwell upon the earth.” He will demand that all people worship him and receive his “mark.” Those who refuse will be restricted from buying and selling and ultimately be killed for their denial to comply.

The reason the UN erecting such a statue, even temporarily, is so significant stems from this very chapter in Revelation. The apostle John, as God was showing him these things, saw a beast that was representative of the antichrist, which he described as being “like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion.”

There is also a great beast described in the Book of Daniel, which looks like a “lion” that “had eagle’s wings.” This was the first of four beasts representing four kings and their kingdoms (Daniel 7). This vision of Daniel paralleled Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, which describes four distinctly different empires. It is widely held that the empire first described in both is representative of ancient Babylon.

Pastor JD Farag, of Calvary Chapel Kaneohe, in a recent Bible Prophecy update, discussed this disturbing United Nations statue.

“In the book of Daniel and in the Book of Revelation, we have this description of a beast, and the imagery is terrifying, concerning this specific prophecy,” he described.

When you look at the photo of the statue, Farag explained, “note how the feet look like that of a bear and its mouth like that of a lion, and also that it looks like a dragon and has what appears to be, as Daniel writes, the eyes of a man.”

“This is a beast, a sculpture of a beast, that they placed in of all places, the headquarters of the United Nations,” the Pastor underscored.

There is another reason why the statue formerly at the United Nations headquarters is fascinating to those who understand Bible Prophecy: its name — “the guardian of peace and security.”

“If that sounds a little bit like 1 Thessalonians, that’s because it’s 1 Thessalonians,” Farag asserted.

1 Thessalonians chapter 5 states, “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety [security]; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

The name of the statue and what it resembles, as it relates to what the Bible says, is not merely a coincidence, the Calvary Chapel Pastor went on to say.

“They erected a peace and security statues in front of the United Nations headquarters, that eerily resembles the beast described in the Book of Daniel and in the Book of Revelation, as a preview of coming attractions, if I can say it like that,” he maintained. “They’re just setting everything up. It’s almost like an announcement.”

“The beast is here; I hope you know that. The system’s getting set up. Right? You know that the Antichrist is alive and well. He just hasn’t been revealed yet, and he cannot be revealed until we are removed.”

The Bible states that prior to the time the “antichrist” makes his appearance on the world scene and signs a “covenant with many” ( commencing the beginning of the “seven-year tribulation”), Christians will be removed from the earth in what is called the Rapture.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV – “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

“I am becoming increasingly convinced,” Farag continued, “that when sudden destruction comes down on them [as spoken of in 1 Thessalonian 5], Jesus comes back for us. This comes down. We go up.”

“They will not escape this sudden destruction that’s coming down on them while they are proclaiming peace and security. Sudden destruction comes down on them, they will not escape, but we will,” he reiterated. “So I’m like, yeah, bring it. I mean, that thing is hideous and evil and demonic, but put up as many as you want because that means Jesus is coming to take me out of here.”
